after the convincing win over leeds utd do you think we can stay up we would have beaten most championship teams last sat with that performance leeds did not play that bad we just were the best side by far thats 6 points from 9 now if dat idiot did not get sent off and the other silly twat we would have had a chance against watford.

looking at the fixtures left i think we can i tho we were dead and buried a few week ago but look now 4 points behind if palce have a few slip ups we can easily over take them

opinions please

sorry for posting in rumour mill only just realised apoligies

Uh-oh, look at us getting all optimistic. It'll all end in tears, I tell ya.

Down on goal difference. Webber hitting the post - oh wait.......

I want to believe we will stay up. After the Leeds performance then I don't see why not.

As long as we don't go stupid again like we did at watford.

Apathy well and truly set in for me 3 monnths ago but win our remaing home games, (which are all winnable!) and pick up a couple of points on the road and we have a sniff of a chance.....

I'll have some of that Torrix. I agree with you on this one.

Yes while it's still possible and we put up a fight, it's sort of in our hands but we also have to hope the footballing gods shine on us for a bit of luck here and their.

footballing gods shine on the blades, do me a favour.
footballing gods might piss on us if we were on fire but only if they were pissing petrol :(
yes i believe we can stay up, close but win our home ties and maybe 1 or 2 wins away and i think we will do it.
absolutely unthinkable that same team that condemned the S6 lot to league one do same to us.
on a side note i think for the remaining fixtures our fans should whistle the theme from The Great Escape as it surely will be IF we manage it, and with 20,000 all whistling it i think it would sound terrific :)

The news here in Coventry is that city are on the verge of going into administration the 10 points deduction will help us stay up.

You wouldn't tease us would you? Things like this just don't happen to us...

(unless we conspire to finish second-bottom)

:)

I'll file this one in the "utterly pointless threads' section.

What does it matter what anyone thinks?

The reality is that it won't make the slightest difference. What will be, will be....

No these things do happen to us.

Normally to provide a flicke of hope, before we throw it away in that last secnds of the season.

At the moment this is a most un-United like relegation. We are obviously heading for L1. Thats not how we do things. We draw things out. We prolong the hope/agony. We never do things the easy way. We pull off the sticking plaster millimetre by millimetre making sure we extract the most amount of pain frin every single hair that is stuck to it...

A 10pt deduction for Coventry would allow us to do it all again...

The news here in Coventry gets better the new chairman is the guy who was at southampton and took them into administration.

On SSN now. The new bloke says he's "trying to avoid administration before the end of the season'.

Which makes sense because it would all but relegate them, whereas a points deduction is survivable next season given re-financing. Theoretically.

Do the right thing lads - give in!
