Only 2 sides have taken more than 10k to Old Trafford since its redevelopment. We average more than both of them at home and the trip is shorter.

Can we do it, my head says no (around 7k Id guess) but my heart says we need a good day out where we forget what's going on and just go for it...for us...not for the players or for the board...but for us...a good old school Blades piss up with constant noise !

I would be surprised if we didn't shift at least 8k. Something to look forward to in a dull, depressing season.

We will make some noise when we win ... that corner.

Don't the club have to guarantee to sell whatever allocation they take? For segregation reasons they wouldn't be able sell any surplus to home fans.

My guess is that we won't feel at all confident of going into double figures.

Who cares how many we take? I didn't realise we had become Sheffield WEDNESDAY and it was attendance figures that won matches
its more the social side of it for us
a fans forum picnic if you will, on a grand scale
a gathering of the moaners and clappers

We won't get 10k. Though thd FA cup rules states we can have up to 15% of the capacity for our away allocation it's the Supporters Advisory Group that decides. The SAG is made up of local police, fire brigade and council. They have generally decided that 9k is about right in similar games. .

Only Boro and Coventry were given 11k tickets. It's not about these clubs having better fans, it is about opportunity. Both of those games were in the league cup which is the only tournament that Man U aren't guaranteed to sell out in so that suggests the club has a say and is willing for the away allocation to be larger when they aren't sure they can shift 65k or whatever it is home tickets.

Hopefully we get given a healthy amount, I'm not a "bigger Blade", pick and choose the games I attend so don't have thousands of stupidity points.

But aren't Man U on an automatic scheme for season ticket holders - there are 55,000 of them?

I think it depends entirely on how the tickets are priced. According to this, tickets in the South-East Quadrant are around £41/£22 conc. in the PL. Any more, and I won't be bothering.

Hope I'm wrong but i think it'll be about 6k that we take.

A bloke I know with piggy tendencies thinks he will be able to get a ticket for himself and his lad who he wants to take for the experience of going to Old Trafford, I got a blank look when I asked him how many loyalty points he had, the first time he'd ever heard of such a scheme LOL.

No.

We have 8,000 tickets allocated, about 37 quid for the cheapest I think. That is an expensive day out, but I will be there, no pressure on the team, no one expects us to win, just as long as we don't get what Man City gave to the S6 grunters, the magnificent 7 (goals!)
