Can we (dare i say it) go up without Coutts

Simple answer, yes.

Wilder and Knill will have a plan in place so expect tweaks but we will adapt.
Coutts is a key player for us but not the only one. We still have 2 of the league's top scorers up top, Fleck, Duffy, Brookes and a wing back/attacking CB system that continues to confound most who we come up against.

Tuesday night will tell us a lot. I don't mind admitting to being a little anxious about how we turn out but on the other hand I am intrigued and excited by it.

Whilst it's a big blow losing Coutts, our group ethic and mentality is bigger than any individual. Whoever replaces him, will fit the team requirement and play the exact role asked of him. He may not be quite as good, but others will compensate by adjusting slightly, if required.
I have every confidence in the Messiah.

But we have options in the squad and Mr Wilder can move things around.
Couttsy is a big miss - but a chance for someone to step in & step up.

For me it's gone from probably to possibly and I fully expect it to go back to probably after a slight change to our playing style.

This for me sums it up. Huge loss re Coutts, no doubt, but our TEAM ethic is so strong and someone else will come in and perform.

We can still do it, providing we don't lose too many between now and January and then reinforce.

The summer recruitment was a bit underwhelming (though Baldock and Stevens are superb acquisitions), and many of us said at the time that we looked a bit thin in centre midfield particularly if we got some injuries. We need to put that right in January.

If enough insist on moping on about it and adopt a negative attitude the answer is no, but these things happen. If our management adapt, as they have done successfully before, and we get behind whatever they decide and those selected I don't see much has changed, we have players to cover but it might need a different style and other teams will be having injury issues also, so what, its football. Get a grip please and get behind the team and what will be will be but lets not let the problems be the fans getting nervous etc and wishing for players no longer available. Accept where we are now and move on positively.
