Just like last season Wilder is repeating his questionable selection/non selection of O’Hare when he’s in fantastic form. United were sparkling against Stoke, Birmingham, Leicester, etc. O’Hare at the centre of everything. Just like all the players tonight he’s had a bad time, but just pick him consistently. In and out of the team for him will result in more performances like tonight.

Didn’t start at West Brom, least said about that game the better. It’s just the gradual creeping in of tinkering around with him. Exactly the same as last season.
But after West Brom he had several sparkling performances as you said, can't have done him that much harm.

If we're blaming O'Hare putting in a middling performance tonight on him not playing on December 12th, I think it's a bit of a reach.

West Brom?? That was ages ago?

Don't get me wrong, IF wilder did start dropping O'Hare for some league one level piece of excrement I'd say "Oi! Wilder! NO!" But right now it's pretty far from Brewsterfest 2025 (in the O'Hare department anyway)

he’s an excellent number 10, he is not a left midfielder at all.

Our squad is made for 4-2-3-1 and this persistence with 4-4-2 is damaging us.

The thing is, Bamford is ideal for the ‘1’.

It seems it is probably down to accommodating Cannon who you could argue plays better off Bamford. No idea why anyone thought him and Campbell would be a pair.

I would prefer to see Hamer and O’Hare and Brooks as a three and then perhaps move to a 2 up front when one tires.

Part of the issue is that the back ups are so bad. Chong, Ogbene. I’ve no idea what any informed person would see in them.

But that just summarises the recruitment issues. You have no obvious back up for Bamford either. If he tires then you have to turn to Ings who is a totally different type of player.
