Burrows

I’m watching a lad who has made a solid but unspectacular start to his Blades career. Fuck knows what you’re seeing, but it ain’t goals, assists, final third dribbles or whatever other measure you care to use which is worth a bean.
Tbf we have been spoilt recently in his position what with Luke Thomas, Yasser Larouci and Loweberto Carlos. Can see where you're coming from

Burrows was great today, took his goal well and was threatening to score again. Motm was either him or Moore in my book.

It’s not that he was ‘bad’ at the start of the season, he’s just been much improved. Maybe the best left back in the division? At least within the top 5.

Absolutely beautiful cross in the second half to Moore at the back post. Looked up and dropped it over the keeper right onto Moore’s head. It’s felt like a long time since we’ve had a full back who can do that.

Noticeable that we’re almost playing as a back three in attack, with Gilchrist tucked in. I like Gilchrist but it’s far from obvious that he is the highly paid starlet and Burrows the league one pickup.

My MOTM today, had a really poor game defensively against Leeds but was solid today with real quality going the other way.

He's absolutely class. Loved how when he went absolutely steaming into the advertising hoardings he didn't roll and moan just got up and on with it. Similar at Leeds or was it Boro when he took the ball full pelt into the grid and carried on like nothing happened. Hard bastard

Amazing the difference it makes having a left back who actually knows how to play the position. Initially I worried a bit about his pace/physicality but he more than makes up for it by knowing the position inside and out, both in attack and defence, and has a brilliant left peg. Feel like there’s more to come from him too. Hats off.

Honestly thought he was awful for 75 mins but then the last 15 really showed his quality. That’s the most I’ve celebrated a goal in a long long time I have to admit. Beauty of a strike

He was poor for large parts of the game and looked off the pace compared to Saturday. That said once he had the freedom to start popping some crosses in the box early it caused them problems.

No doubts about how good he is with that left peg though.
