Actually, you’re right. I forgot that DronnieBlade is on the forum. Ok then, you’re in the worst two. Is that better?lol bit of a sweeping statement.

Do you want to have a bash then at telling me why Burrows has been so good for us? False Blade appears to have lost his bottle.Actually, you’re right. I forgot that DronnieBlade is on the forum. Ok then, you’re in the worst two. Is that better?
Would you say Peterborough have had out pants down?I’m not sure what the fuss is with Burrows. No goals, no assists, set plays meh, gets a nose bleed trying to go forward, not quick, but better defensively than i was led to believe.
If we’d hadn’t have spunked a pre-season chasing him due to his lofty reputation, I’m not sure we’d be as confident that he’ll come good.
Hopefully a slow burner who will gradually flourish.
Defensively solid, good tackler, positionally good, delivers a good dead ball, great temperament. 6 matches into his Championship career and at the age of 22 he has improved with each game & has loads of development left in him. We no longer look vulnerable down our left flank despite Rak Sakyi not giving him much cover.Do you want to answer my original question, or are you struggling?
Ha, no, and he might turn out to be great but… I’m not sure what the current excitement is about him. And that’s my gut feeling, in contrast to yours / others gut feelings who think he’s brilliant. But based on his stats so far, am I really so far off the mark?Would you say Peterborough have had out pants down?
If you haven't yet, you should--almost guarantees the lad a great season for us.
Ok, thanks, and yes defensively he’s been good which is ironic as supposedly that’s his weakness. I expect more from him going forward though.Defensively solid, good tackler, positionally good, delivers a good dead ball, great temperament. 6 matches into his Championship career and at the age of 22 he has improved with each game & has loads of development left in him. It isn’t the gut feelings of others. The praise for him is based on what people are actually seeing on the pitch. Gut feelings don’t come into it. Unless you don’t understand what you’re watching, I suppose.Ha, no, and he might turn out to be great but… I’m not sure what the current excitement is about him. Difficult to get forward as much as he’d probably like when he shares a flank with Rak Sakyi. And he’s playing as a full back in a back 4, not a wing back. He’s primarily a defender.Ok, thanks, and yes defensively he’s been good which is ironic as supposedly that’s his weakness. I expect more from him going forward though.
I’m watching a lad who has made a solid but unspectacular start to his Blades career. Fuck knows what you’re seeing, but it ain’t goals, assists, final third dribbles or whatever other measure you care to use which is worth a bean.It isn’t the gut feelings of others. As I’ve said, he’s a full back in a back 4 sharing a flank with Rak Sakyi. Interesting that you don’t think the clean sheets he’s contributing to are worth a bean. And when you’ve logged off, xxxx off.Log off.
Bit like you blaming JRS for Burrows being underwhelming going forward. Let’s ignore that though, eh?As I’ve said, he’s a full back in a back 4 sharing a flank with Rak Sakyi. Interesting that you don’t think the clean sheets he’s contributing to are worth a bean. Explains a lot.
Today’s game made me very happy. They are all contenders for my favourite player. Good sign. He's my favourite. Class player
Ok, sure, but we’re judging Burrows on Burrows and the much coveted lad who we signed. Im not sure we’ve seen anything to suggest he’ll hit those heights, and that’s what I’m currently assessing him on. He’s doing ok, that’s it. No red carpet required.Think you've had a mare here LS
Think back to last season and some of the guff that played that position.
Hopefully Sam Curtis develops at Peterborough too for the otherside of the pitch.I also like that he was captain at Peterborough. Shows that he has the intangibles, too.
Can see him become captain here at some point, as well.
I’m not blaming JRS for anything. He’s another very young & developing player learning on the job. He’s got very obvious quality, but at this stage tracking back isn’t one of his stronger points.Bit like you blaming JRS for Burrows being underwhelming going forward. Let’s ignore that though, eh?
You’ll tell me black is white next.
Were you the oracle that knew McAtee was great when he was… not great at all? Walt… of course you were.I’m not blaming JRS for anything. He’s another very young & developing player learning on the job. He’s got very obvious quality, but at this stage tracking back isn’t one of his stronger points.
Carry on doubling down as much as you want, your choice, but each post shreds a bit more of a reputation that was built on your analysis of McAtee.
Good point. Wait…. but Nick Jansky said….Hamer has been playing off the left with burrows
Rak-Sakyi has been playing on the right with Gilchrist
Young, English—if he has a good season he’ll be worth eight figures next summer quite easily in my opinion.Let’s see how Burrows goes. If he’s as good as you and others say is, we might struggle to hold onto him.
Good point. Wait…. but Nick Jansky said….
Sure, look forward to the lad proving it. Nothing against him, want all our players to flourish. It was a coup to get Harrison so hope he does well. That still doesn’t mean you were right unfortunately.
He’s been a good buy and will go on to be top class.
JRS is usually on the other side of the pitch. Hamer is usually in front of Burrows. For Lightsoot, Burrows is a real full back. He reads the game, cuts out danger. Tackles very well and know when to play it or get it gone. Out attacking play is nowhere near where it could be. The final pass and players movement into the box is lacking. When we get that sorted we can then assess how really good he is. Defensively he has been excellent.I’m not blaming JRS for anything. He’s another very young & developing player learning on the job.
