Peter Beagrie was at my granddaughter's 21 Party yesterday, as he's a mate of her dad. Very entertaining and chatty. Talked about his time with the Blades, didn't fit in with Dave Bassett's 'anti football' as he called it and was offered a derisory offer of another year, which basically was a 'we don't want you'
Talked about his time at Bradford city and basically blamed Stan Collymore and Benito Carbone being signed and acting Billy big bollocks contributing to City's demise.
Also mates with Chris Wilder and said he's a good bloke. Chris was his boot boy when he was with United.
He has a very young fiancee, who seemed more at ease with my granddaughter than the other middle aged couples there.
