Kraft durch Freude
Let's try not to go down the Wednesday route of loving a player until they leave and then 'he was crap'. Good luck to DB, he was truly one of those players who could 'get you out of your seat'. Unfortunately - due to illness - we didn't see it often enough, but I remember another player who did the same with two goals against Spurs in a few minutes, Che Adams, who is inexplicably hated by many on here. Brooksy always did his best here - unlike mardy, petulant twat Forestieri who only plays when he wants to.
DB - like Harry - will continue to get rave reviews for the simple reason that he's surrounded by far better players. I'm sure Bournemouth will just be a stopover for a player who will improve. It's highly likely that Brooksy will have regrets. Should he have progressed at Man. City and be in a similar situation to Phil Foden - looking at a 5-year contract @ £25k per week (which is sure to be re-negotiated upwards)? Will Foden's agent be seen as a 'greedy cunt'? Or somebody who has done well for his client?
So good luck, DB. There's only Man. City (and possibly Chelski) who don't sell their best players which is something some people on here don't understand. At least he didn't go to Leeds, like so many of our past stars.
