Did nothing today, we obviously need to sell him.

Sending professional athletes out on the piss in the middle of a campaign might not have been a good move?

Has to be said. It's not like it's an international break. It's the run-up to our busiest part of the season. Fancy dress, booze, footballers, Dublin. I was quite surprised that Wilder thought it was a good idea.

On his way.....seen it all before....many times. Doesn't need a magician to work out how our "board" functions.

Wilder said in one of his pre match interviews that he'd already got his JTW budget. Unless someone's already had the contracts drawn up from the PL, then to me that suggests no intention to sell in order to buy.

Hopefully I'm right. We need him.

Does that mean Duffy is on his way too ? FFS do we have to have this shit every time he is not in the team ? Then we have the sell him now brigade ................. fuck it lets sell the lot of them then the fans can be happy moaning for the next six years in League one, sod it lets do it right and drop into League two you can all moan then happy in the knowledge that you are one of the 10,000 true Blades who stuck with the club in their darkest hour.

Don't forget the"if we don't get twenty million" club.

A businessman would be a better bet to work out how the board functions than a magician.

Be a bit like Nixon sending plumbers to bug the Watergate building when spies would have been a better choice.

Hang on. We just made x million off the back of the Maguire and Walker deals, did we not?

Yet. t'other week, people were chiding the 'weers t'munneh' gang.

It's all there in the accounts, apparently.

pommpey

We have game changing investment just waiting to be spent when they can find it down the back of the sofa.

When did they get back?
Haven't a clue, but you can bet your bottom dollar, it was just a weekend and they were back in training Monday or Tuesday. They can't have a Christmas do over the Christmas period as there are too many games. I can't see anything wrong having it when they did. Some people are getting a but precious about it GRUMPY BLADE

I dont think this is a case of Maguire flu. It's too early for that, and I think Chris would let him go over his dead body in Janauary, given we NEED players rather than letting them go.

Precious it might be, but in games of percentages, then it is worthy of discussion whether a weekend away drinking between games is sensible. If it aids teamwork then great, but on the other hand, if it reduces player fitness by any degree, does that balance it out?

I don't know enough about the team spirit, the levels of fitness or even if they all drank J2O in Dublin. I also don't know whether Wolves went on the pop, or whether Man City's players would. But it's interesting to speculate.

If our works do was in Dublin and the next week two employees were off work with stomach upsets and the rest produced their worst performance of the year, I am guessing the boss would not be terribly happy. (edit.. Appeh)

Yeah, if they went last Sat, had a couple of nights, day training tues/wed/thurs/fri then no issue.

So they are not allowed to be normal human beings unless it's outside the football season, even at Christmas. Does anybody know whether they all got blasted or not? Probably not. Why assume that Duffy and Brooks being indisposed is down to Dublin? A lot of supposition being used here.

I'm not denying the supposition. But I posed the question whether it was appropriate. You think it is, I don't think it is for professional athletes.

I thought the stories of a training ground fight would have emerged by now ;)

Given that we haven’t got any money, it would possibly make sense.

Selling players is inevitable it’s shit reinvestment that fucked us up for the last decade. I’d trust Wilder with the money, and right how I could only see the significant investment we need from doing a deal on him.
What about the princes championship substantial promised investment!!

Every player has his price.

FWIW, I would be tempted to cash in now. There is a chance he may turn in to the next Giggs. Maybe not.

As things stand, I’m in the maybe not camp. Frustrating player.

UTB

When I went to Dublin it took me about four days to recover. Dublin flu I called it (and every epic hangover since).
Took me a week to get over it and couldn't walk right for a week either ☺ Big fry up every morning and pints of Guinness every evening for 5 days. Face like a poppy when I got back.

“Young lad sold because he’s (got the) shit(s)”
Ok Blades. :)
