I believe there are going to be bids made for DB services in the next 12 months...... So how much do you think it will take for us to bow to the big boys and let the wonderkid go?

Personally I think it should be no less than £15 million.

If it's a penny less than 35 million for Duffys understudy McCabe should do the honourable thing and leave the Club never to return .

McCabe said this recently: “Hopefully we can keep him. But there will be a price. It will be a good chunk of money for us", I'm sure I saw something else recently saying £7-8m would be accepted but I can't find that now, maybe I'm making it up. I hope I am!

Regardless, if he goes we're in for a windfall, the kind of money that keeps us stable and able to continue building on what we've got and I think that's what we've got to remember, we're trying to build sustainable success, not all or nothing and until we reach the promised land, our acadamy will supply us with great players for as long as we can keep hold of them and then it'll make us a tidy sum.

I hope we can keep hold, there's a chance he could play in the Premiership with us in the next 2 years if we maintain this level of consistency. He excites the crowd in a different way to any player has for a long long time, not comparing him to Duffy as they are different players, he's not like Gillespie, Kabba, or Murphy. Having said that he's far from the finished item yet, love to see him develop here while playing 1st team football go to an Everton or similar and not make the side most weeks

I believe the children are our future

££££ or trophies - I am not fussy which

Wilder has also said that Brooks isn't going anywhere in January. Given the type of guy Chris is I'll side with his take on Brooks' future. If DB continues to impress all well and good, and no doubt today's valuation would increase with each performance from Brooks. Just make sure that there's a 20% add-on (no cock-ups from our transfer negotiator please) from any future sale.

But after the 'finders fee', agency brokerage and consultancy fees paid to Crab Industries Global Corp, we will only be left with a £1m.
I'll be dealing with Crab Industries in a Suge Knight style.

I've thought for a while that £10m should be the starting point should he be sold. Good to see that figure already being touted.

Maybe £12m, £2m after 20 appearances, £2m after an England cap, £2m after a CL appearance and a 15% sell on clause.

Get him on a 4 year contract though and I'd be wanting £20m up front.

You weren't complaining about my fees when I let you stay gratis at my weekend retreat in Guantanamo Bay. The waterboarding was a complete misunderstanding.

Hopefully young DB is a sensible lad enough to realise that if a big club or even sort of highish midtable Prem team, that he might not get off the bench for awhile and could wallow in the doldrums. At the moment he is playing in a team that has drive and ambition and possibly could get auto, Tufty might not play him every game but he must know how popular he is here and is also playing with a confidence that could take a knock if moving as above, can you imagine any other young player than under CW who would consider twisting Hunt so far inside (in a derby match) out he could look up his own a*sehole and see what he had for breakfast the day before, we all know all players have a price on their heads but hopefully DB is a sensible lad and will bear this in mind.

Met him, shot him, fucked him up.

Not what Vern told me, although to be fair to the old lad he took a lot of head shots back in the day when he fought in Gypsy bare knuckle fights, so his stories do have an element of "what the fuck" about them.

But he's cheap, and reminds of of Lenny Mclean.
