Brooks Ched up front

That's right!
Nobody would think for a moment that 6 or 7 strikers could ever be sufficient

I Don't blame wilder really because he was trying to get 3 in....

But since signing only billy has provided his ability to stay fit. The rest are not robust

Clark out for large spells last year
Lavery never managed a lengthy run the side due to niggles
Hanson never got going
Evans was unfit for most of last year

Even donalsons had an injury hit season.

We've been unlucky but here was a reason we were looking to get 3 in.

I wouldn't say it's a lack of depth, we actually have 6 strikers which is a lot, it's just injuries which is unlucky.

I'd say it's more a lack of quality (as it's doubtful that Hanson will cut it at this level and remains to be seen whether Lavery, Evans and maybe Clarke will have enough) and possibly a lack of fitness (or perhaps persistent, unrelated injuries like in Lavery's case)

Radio Sheff not sounding confident on Sharp being back anytime soon.

If, as someone has said, he's pulled a muscle in his stomach, then he'll likely be out for weeks. (I would imagine he misses the derby if it's true)

This good be very interesting. I've been looking forward to Brooks upfront. Not sure Ched will do it all the game, he's bound to tire. However we have a secret weapon on the bench. I give you CCV. :) Might seem funny but I was impressed with his control and skills going forward. He could be a beast up front. Wouldn't be the first defender put in attack.

Absolutely. Being wiyhout 5 strikers, not to mention your marquee centre half signing and first choice keeper is almost unheard of at this stage of the season. Plus Ched is only 70% and needing an op.

Well, considering Wilder was trying to sign two others, then I'd say you were wrong.

1 of our strikers is injury prone, Doesn't suit our style of play, not good enough and would have gone to league 1 on Deadline day (Hanson)
1 is injury prone and not shown any consistent form or fitness (Lavery)
1 has been in prison and has not managed to regain anything like full fitness or form since (Evans)
1 seems to pick up a fair few knocks over the course of the season and is always likely to miss at least 10 games (Clarke)

So, it's a case of depth, not simply numbers.

I tend to agree with your assessment of the strikers, but that means it's a lack of quality rather than depth

Been hoping to see Thomas, I think he's capable of surprising a few of us, hopefully I'm right and he provides us with another option.
I thought he did really well when he came on - ran at players and looked lively, would like to see him on the bench more often - definite threat.

Blades unlucky today - most frustrating game for some time - they really did everything to upset our rhythm

Cab we agree with quality in depth?

We do lack depth up front in terms of quality. If we had got Sinclair or Cole over the line then we probably wouldn't have lost. It wasn't just an ufit Ched having to play 90 minuted it was that we couldn't
change it
