Millwall will enjoy shitting on everyone's pie, wont they, cos no one likes em.

I think they are the ones that will be going up thru the playoffs,a cunting club like that with back to back promotions.

I watched their highlights against Barnsley and they were gifted a win. They looked poor. I can see their run being ended pretty soon and sinking back to mid-table.

I think Preston are a good shout. Personally, I expect to finish behind all those teams except Millwall.

If we want promotion I would think we would need 5 wins from our last eight games.

Did you think Yeovil were strong enough to beat us in the play-offs a few years ago?

Did you think Huddersfield were the strongest team in the play-offs last season and would be good enough to survive this season in the Prem?

The point, I’m hopefully making, is that it doesn’t matter a jot how good or strong you may think a team is on paper, it’s all about finishing in the top 6 and giving yourself a chance of getting to the Prem. Finish in the top 6 and you’ve got an excellent chance.

And it’s pointless being concerned that when you get to the Prem you won’t be able to compete. Look at the likes of Huddersfield, Burnley, Swansea, Bournemouth. Lower division clubs for decades. Smaller than United by far, but, they got their chance and seized it with both hands and every season they “survive” in the Prem the stronger they get and the more assured the future of those clubs become.

Yet despite these facts, we still have some fans who feel “we aren’t ready” and even more astonishing than that, we have fans who are convinced it would be better to wait till next season in the belief that we’ll somehow be “stronger” next season, I’d love to hear some logical explanation as to why we will be stronger next season? I haven’t heard one yet.

Football is all about the here and now. Taking your chances when they come around. There’s no prizes for taking your time and hoping to slowly build a stronger team for next season. I’d be happy to get back to the Prem and “struggle” personally because that’s the best for our club’s long term future.
Absolutely. The being stronger next year and potentially better equipped to stay up if we went up is the most ludicrous belief doing the rounds at the moment.

The next stage is to get promoted and establish ourselves as a financial heavyweight in this division (if we are immediately relegated). if we're immediately relegated - which is likely, - we can then regain promotion with a team more likely to stay up.The club would be in he market for more expensive players then. The problem with our post relegation strategy last time, was that we went shit or bust in the following season rather than having five or so years as a big financial player in the championship. Our model should be Burnley or West Brom, if we're ever in that position again.Set yourselves up to be a yo yo club at worst.
The danger of not getting promoted when you have the opportunity is obvious.Your best players get picked off and people working on a relative shoestring become frustrated.I'd take promotion now - even if we went down with ten points next season. The club would be much stronger.
Disclaimer: This is all predicated on us having a stable boardroom, with the best interests of the football club at its heart

We are over critical of our team
Always have been
A few games back we beat QPR and on here some slaughtered the team saying we should be crushing teams like them
Then QPR go and win at Villa and draw at Fulham after being 2 behind

There are very few easy games in this division .for any team . This is why we are very much in it as other teams have the same problems we have. It's why there is a 2 point difference between 5 teams
