As there's no match thread yet (I assume Dempsey & Makepeace are busy childing) putting this here.

Going to be a tough game. I fancied City at the start of the season but they've been inconsistent. They certainly have the attacking players to hurt us.

If everyone was fit enough to play, I'd go:

----------------------Wes

Baldock - Basham - Egan - Robinson - Osborn

--------Doyle----Norwood-----Fleck

-------------Sharp--- Ndiaye

Anel suspended and giving McBurnie a rest.

I reckon we're going to get a few surprises though listening to the press conference.

Sachdev and Arblaster not travelled with the U-21s so likely in the squad.

I reckon McAtee or Khadra will start. I have a feeling Ndiaye might not.

I reckon a draw might be the likely outcome.

I think sometimes you have to credit the opposition, I think Bristol have played very well, without working foderingham, I think this seems like a game for mcburnie, he can hold it up and also with the amount of crosses and corners they're getting he will do what he does defensively
Agree with this, always play poor when the opposition mark Norwood too. They’ve done a bit of a number on us so far but I expect 2nd half to be better.

Apart from a couple of promising attacks, we can't get the ball to the front lads, and it's not sticking when we do.. need to keep the ball a lot better, but glad to go in level as they've been the better team.. Good Free kick zipped in by Norwood, don't know how nobody got on the end of that.

Just got to put that half behind us.

Still 0-0.

Opportunity still there but there will need to be some changes to lift the levels.

Maybe it is the tv angle but the pitch at Ashton Gate always looks massive!

Two warning shots right on half time that could’ve been goals. Time to now wake up and fkin get at em
Yes we need to step it up and be braver. We're giving them too much space, we need to close them down. Scott needs stopping somehow

That was dire. This tactic where we try and play out from the back is OK if you have defenders who are good on the ball. Egan and the rest are so poor in this role and the amount of pointless goal kicks where we pass to egan, he takes the ball 5 yards forward then lofts an aimless ball out of play is sooo bad. This needs to change as its so wasteful and gives possession straight back allowing them to build pressure. We should not be relying on our defenders to try and dictate play.

I say this almost every week but our ball retention, care of the ball, and possession based game is shit. We are way behind most teams in this department. Panicked hoofs up field to just get the ball away from our net is not a tactic. The players need to grow some bollocks, find some space and make some runs to support team mates.

Hecky needs to sort this ASAP.

So many poor performances out there that its hard to pick specifics out but Khadra, Egan and Ozzy were particularly bad.

Fleck looks as though he's actively hiding at times. I'm sure he's not, but it's either that or he's forgotten how to find space and get involved.
He isn't fit, and has been shocking for some time now. He jogs into the areas he's meant to be in in terms of space on the pitch, but never closes anyone down, never looks to burst into space, like he did 3 or so years ago. I'd rather give an energetic U23 a go, can't be any worse.

Fleck is the ultimate example of someone running down their contract knowing they’re not going to be here at the end of it. I’ve seen sloths on Ketamine quicker than him. A player on easy street that is rapidly starting to get right on my tits.

IT is bigger than most- count the mown strips 10 in each half means its about 120 yards long.!! Anybody got the exact measurement's.?

Every attack is down our left flank and Osborne is utterly devoid of any attacking threat. Hecky, ffs wake up!
