Your comments make some sense but I can't take the made up table too seriously, so it was expected that Swansea should be 2nd bottom? really? There seems a serious blurring of fantasy and reality going on these days.

Yeah, going on chances created / conceded Swansea have been pretty poor - surprised me too, to be honest, although I did watch their game with Birmingham and they were absolutely woeful and could've been about 4 down at half-time. Infogol have them as the 18th best team so far, so slightly better than Blades Analytics' model but still lower-midtable. On chances created they rank 17th, on chances conceded they rank 19th - not a good combination.

Basically, Swansea are fortunate to have 11 points from their 6 games whereas the same can't be said about eg United or Bristol City. The one caveat I'd lob at that is that they have played some tough fixtures - us, Leeds, Bristol City and they played almost a whole game with ten men against Millwall, so that will have tilted the numbers a bit. Infogol do a "forecasted" final table which takes into account points accrued so far and their remaining games, and that has them finishing midtable (11th).

yes - where's Brooks when you need an embarrassing nut meg or two.

Would be fabulous if Duffy tries the same tomorrow :)

UTB
I could see Bash having a go at it. He pulls a trick out the bag every so often.

Famara Diedhiou is a key one to mention for Bristol City. Big, black and French target man. He was banned for the first few games of the season but was back on the bench against Blackburn, and came on and scored. They'll be wanting to pair him with Weimann and he should be back in the starting line up tomorrow. Unfortunate for us. Promising strike pairing.

The analysis seems to be based (I might well be wrong here) on a micro interpretation of the individual matches they've played but my comment was more based on the overall strengths and weaknesses of their club. They've come down with arguably the best squad of the three relegated teams, they've made a very interesting managerial appointment of a guy with a pretty extraordinary track record and they've got a bloody great pot of money, on that basis I would have been astonished if they had been 2nd bottom at this stage.
