We need to be in Norway on the Sunday for a Northern Lights trip. The ferry/cheap cruise company package holiday included a flight from Gatwick.

I'm having a hip operation soon and won't be able to drive ( shouldn't be on a ferry actually) and so the wife would have had to drive from the match to Gatwick hotel on Saturday night so we changed the flights to Leeds Bradford on the Sunday morning at a cost of £600, albeit with some savings on the Gatwick option.

Looks a total waste of money now as we would have all the time in the world to get there on the Saturday.

The only positive to take from this is that sky are taking notice of us and that means we're doing very well and we're one of the sides people want to watch.

Sky cream themselves over a few sides per season who (disproportionately/unfairly) hog a lot of coverage time. Newcastle, Norwich, Leeds, West Spam are recent examples, even the pigs.

It sucks when you're not being covered, though.

Hope you enjoy your trip mate and that the weather will be good. My father's been on one of those cruises up north and he thought it was great. I think it was spring when he travelled, so not sure there was much Northern Lights to see.

Hope you hope you get to see the lights. Can be a long walk in Amsterdam, and passport control can be slow, so if the hip's dodgy, an assisted wheelchair might be best.

No one likes it and no one asked for it but I suspect most fans who are used to it don't kick up quite the same fuss.

What should be done as a minimum is that everyone who can prove train ticket purchase /hotel etc should be refunded by Sky when they switch games within 8 weeks which is when the better planners buy their tickets whilst at their cheapest.

Sky pay a fee to both the home and away team, what each club decide to do with that fee is up to them.........
