Brighton fan in peace

Several Brighton fans went past me at Toddington Services. Two lots even had the audacity to shout, "Seagulls!" out the window at me. Thanks, but I'd have preferred a lift. I really hope they struggled to find a parking spot in Sheffield.

As for myself, I made it by the skin of my teeth, missing the first minute of play, and then all that I saw was lots of balloons being popped.
You're hitching on your crutches? There were 3 other Blades on the return coach from Victoria. One had mobility issues.

Thanks all for the suggestions. We had a great day out in the pubs you suggested.

Very nice ground as well.

The balloons were a pisstake on our players bring caught doing the stupid helium cans whilst on holiday in Spain last week.

Will be back in Sheffield next season but I still worry which team it will be against!
Marvellous following up from the south coast. Really put the 2 car loads from Bournemouth to shame. We tend not to realise what a great day out BDTBL is for away fans. We’d love to give out more away tickets, but until we extend the kop and South Stand.....it is what it is.

For next season. Get off at Rotherham or Dronfield station. Have a pint then queue for an hour to get a train to somewhere near the ground... make you feel at home!... if it’s cold and wet (like 21/12 was) then ensure you pick the station with the least cover for aftermatch wait...

Reason Bramall Lane is so good it is is in a city and not a Falmers field....

Having waited 14 years for a home ground, the AMEX is absolute heaven. If you’d be in our position of having to play 70 miles from home, you would think the same.

Next year (if we stay up) drink in Lewes before the game and then stay on the concourse - which stays open for beers or join the home end for a chat and music.

You'll stay up , 'no worries ' as the the irritating modern idiom has it , and you and your other fine supporters will be most welcome at the home of football . :)

Thought the balloons were a bit cringy until I saw this. Saw the news story but didn't put two and two together at the time. Pretty funny actually.

Brighton fans were alright by me. Good numbers, decent bunch. Plenty of friendly chat between them and our lot outside the ground before and after, no dickheads trying to show off and play Gween Stweet.

On the pitch it certainly wasn't the style I expected them to play, but they’re in danger of getting dragged into a dogfight, so means must- cant fault them for that. Potters clearly far smarter and far less up his own arse than the likes of Farke, Moyes or Howe and is changing it up to get points on the board. They’d be far stupider just trying to stick with it and hope for a change in luck. Hope they stay up and pretty sure they will.
