Great ball, try these two up top again.

In contrast, in a team devoid of creativity recently, one rusty player picks a pass for the run of another rusty player who could've broken the back of the net. Could've easily drawn that, probably should've won on chances alone.

Not sure about that, they hit the crossbar and missed an absolute sitter at 0-0

Nice turn and pass, the criticism of McBurnie for me is that when he receives the ball his first touch was ok, then his next touch takes him wider when he should have been looking to move in towards the goal slightly. You have more options with your final shot if you're closer to the goal and he'd have needed 1 less touch before shooting so it would have meant that the covering defender wouldn't have had time to slide.

You can't really coach what he didn't do, it's instinctive.

Was a lovely ball, if we can get more of that then we should be able to convert some.

When was the last time we scored when someone was put through on goal like that, McBurnie against Brighton last season?

As I said yesterday there were signs that Brewster is finding sharpness and looks a different player when we can get the ball to his feet in space.

Reckon he'll be back in on Saturday and that works for me. You could drop either of the two who played yesterday for me but I'd prefer to see McB up with him. In fact I'd like to see us play with a '10' at West Brom to show we are going after them and to get us on the front foot.

A £23.5m player managed to pass a decent ball, for a £20m player to miss a sitter. Whoop de fucking doo, I feel loads better now. Champions League here we come.
Monday morning blues?

You do realise these players don’t set what someone has paid for them don’t you?

Really? Apart from that through ball he did very little else.

But why does Brewster not follow his pass? if he'd followed the pass he could have offered an option for McBurnie to square it. And he would have been in a good position to get on the rebound.

McBurnie was too fast for him.

Seriously, I would like to see Burke and Brewster up front. Brewster gets into great positions in the box but no one gets the ball into him. I think Burke would.

Same, as that's the kind of ball I expect to see Burke threading through. Can't see it though, and I'm not about to advise Chris on line ups and tactics.

First through ball of the season, something we need to see this a lot more of. Sick of seeing the opposition centre backs facing our goal and never turned. A proper attacking midfielder could provide the passes if Wilder was willing to try this again. Obviously, we'd need to buy or loan one in the second half of the season.

Yes it's got to be time to start Burke. Its bizarre he's not had any minutes in the last few games

I'm confident in the positions that Oli got himself into and buoyed by the fact we now seem to be playing him the kind of balls that he likes to receive. He'll come good. Easily as good as Bamford and he's got a decent haul already.

Having £50 on him scoring anytime against West Brom

Wouldn't really call it a sitter with players breathing down his kneck and a goalie closing him down.

Bloody lovely.
And rather than slag McBurnie for the miss, can we have a bit of positivity for the pass?

Brewster’s pass yesterday and Burke’s to Basham that resulted in a missed pen
shows we have 2 players with vision,we need em both on the pitch together.......please.
Make it happen Chris.
