Brentford v. Leeds discussion

Watched this, thought Leeds were poor. They had the right idea to start, press Brentford who were playing into this, but they went to bits after the goal. Never really got going again.

Bamford's face (at 1-0 and plenty of time left) said it all for me; he reminded me of Stephen Quinn's mardy arse expression when he'd given up too. On that occasion I took my hanky out and invited him to come and effin sob into it. Wilder would have pulled him to save him the agony of playing the rest of the match.

Is that from the Star?

Why does it not say:

"OWLS WIN!"

Best Club in Sheffield (that's Sheffield Wednesday, folks) triumphed today to consolidate their league position and build for the future under their handsome manager, Steve 'Steve' Bruce. The ex-Manchester United centreback said after the game, "Why-aye man. Divvunt houla muckle chimpin' with a steamin' whilplin' arnott, pet!" An OWLS insider told us later that this means he's less than happy now being at Hillsborough considering he once was manager elsewhere in Sheffield once upon a time (sub-ed, check this please).

OWLS's win solidifies their position mid table and justifies Bruce's earlier claims that whilst the playoffs were always achievable, it was always intended to allow Sheffield United - the other club Bruce once managed and left - to have a futile crack at getting up to the Pemiership, where Sheffield Wednesday truly belong.

And it's Hi-Ho-Sheffield Wednesday … etc

In other news, Hull City capitulated weakly to Sheffield United allowing them three valuable and rare points to give them a futile go at getting promoted. By weird co-incidence, Brentford Argyle sneaked a crafty win against Leeds United, which has temporarily let the Blunts into the fucking automatic spots, the fucking fuckers.

(see page six - "Why Wednesday are miles better than United, disregarding everything else, even the theory of relativity")

Bamford is a total waste of space, if he had the sort of chances to goals conversion rate that Billy or any half decent champ striker had, they’d be up already
