Brentford attacking

I think Wier has no clue whatsoever.

But if we had Maguire playing today, Brentford would have been more Defensive on the Corners in my opinion.

My mate commented on that during the game aswell, he was furious with Flynn holding back all the time, he wanted him on the edge of the box. (may of had something to do with having a tenner on him to score)

What kind of reception did Weir get?

Leaving 3 up at a corner ... to the opposition. Obviously weir has no imput or he was taking the piss as we didn't have 3 up for a corner when we had a corner.
I'm reliably informed that Weir has very little influence at Brentford and only coaches their defence. So his cluelessness hasn't tainted their approach to playing football.

Cloughie and the rest of the coaching staff shook his hand. Everyone else ignored him - no reaction whatsoever.

He got plenty of stick from those behind the dugout...especially when he flicked through his ring binder of laminated set piece routines every time Brentford got a corner.

Looked much more at ease with himself in the number 2 role.

He stood there, arms behind back and threw his arms about when they got their unjust penalty decision overturned.

He kept reaching for a binder with set plays in which I didn't understand because it's not like he is going to look at the plays positions and telepathically communicate it to them where they should be. He kinda reminded me of this guy...

You'd think he'd be able to buy an ipad from his compo pay off

I like Brentford's positivity. They always looked to have four or five players high up the pitch, fluid movement between them as well.

I thought we struggled initially but then coped well against it. Despite not many clear cut chances I thought it was a good game.

best team we have played this season at home in the league IMO hope the go up out of the way

I thought they were decent but not a patch on Wolves.

Maybe their strikers having a good day would have made it look a lot different.

Weir accidentally left his ring binder of laminated set piece routines behind in the changing room and I've taken the liberty of reproducing the contents in full here:-

Brentford have a lot to thank Uwe Rossler for , he assembled a very good league one outfit and was a penalty away from automatic promotion, they have managed to stay together and despite not having many individuals that attract great attention have become a team worthy of the name, shows the benifit of playing as a unit , in much the same way Clough has solidified us , to use an analogy , hes pointed between the bricks , whereas Weir dry stone walled a 5 storey building, so it rocked a lot

Could he afford a custom pallet bench from SV Productions??
Careful Dan, Woodseats Wood Seats was a bit touchy last night about the smoothness and splinter quotient of his designs. He also referred to licking his own creations. Strange. I know.
