Brayford

Judging by the type of player we have brought in for the left side if it's going to be Brayford and Bash on the right we are going to need a good goalkeeper and a couple of cracking C/Backs..........:)

Just like Matty Done, when you don't get in a full and proper pre-season it will return to bite you on the arse at some point. Injuries are part and parcel of football but worse so at that time of year. However I did wonder if the beards toys were out of the pram a little last season after Cloughs departure. Maybe Wilders the man to get him going again and make him feel an important part of what he's trying to achieve
I think your right sponge, initially Bray would have been disappointed at Cloughs sacking but he is a professional and would have put it behind him
( I think if Burton were some how able to find the money to buy and pay his wages he would go as I do think Clough rates him and the feeling is mutual )
his problem was as you say ! missing pre season and possibly coming back too quickly and paying the price for that.playing Tues sat as he did probably
took its toll and the mus le tear was the result. A proper pre season with a maanger who really is demanding of his players should see him firing on all cylinder s.One thing for sure if Mr Wilder senses a player who is not happy he will get shut as I get the feeling our new manager will take no prisoners.

Absolutely Brutal!

Brayford should be one of the players, like Sharp to take this club forward again. We've all moaned over the past few years about shit players being signed by shit managers... yet we have an excellent player in Brayford and people want rid.

Keep him, Keep Sharp, Keep Long, Keep Adams and build a side around these types of players. Yes they'll have bad games or a bad run of games, they may even get injuries, but they are amongst the quality we need to get back up
Perfection ^^

I hear pigs will accept £7m for Westwood

If we get any interest, get rid. He's not been good enough (since signing) to warrant the kind of wages he gets in this division. We need to operate on a low cost basis. Paying whatever silly money he's on is in no way justified.

Personally I doubt he will go. The wages are a huge stumbling block and the beard has already taken a significant cut. Combine this with the fact they may well struggle without huge investment and in 12 months time nobody would be surprised if they were back down here.
I think Wilders stamp on things is exactly what we needed but I also get the feeling he's a fair and honest man. If you pull your weight he will look after you. I think the Beard will either love him or loathe him so here's hoping for a return of the Brayford days off old. Bombing down the wing, a happy and loved cult figure once more.
Come on John boy, we know it's in ya!

Some claptrap on here.

If we are operating within a budget, that budget has included Brayford. So w can afford him.
Why reduce budget by getting rid of one of the best players in the division? If it was a player who is crap, then fair enough, but he's a quality player.
Yes he cost a lot relatively speaking, but we are looking to mop up the best players in the lower leagues and it's gonna be hard enough getting a squad as it is, never mind needing one more as well!

Keep him, get him back to his best and if we go up its also one less position we need to improve. We don't want to be getting a whole new squad two seasons in a row!

I'm going to be controversial here. We need a new Brayford next season. Time to shave the beard.
