I'd make porter look good.

Mmmmm, not really much of an effort, Swizzler

Does anyone else think that Fulhams number 2 Hoogland does look an awful lot like the beard ?

Was thinking exactly the same the other day. Even got that same annoying pony tail thingy going on.

I doubt very much that the club would offer up what Cardiff would value Brayford at Maybe if the Blades were promoted they would spend some cash shopping for bargain buys at the moment.

Had we got promoted I think Brayford would have been Cloughs first signing.

Couple of posters on BM getting excited because he was dropped to the bench yesterday for Cardiff

Is he available on a free ? If the answer is no then the answer gentlemen is no

I am going to be controversial now, where would Brayford fit in? Alcock has probably been the best player and he is at right back. Davies can also play there. I would rather the boat be pushed out on a striker

True.

Although I think if we get promoted we should go back in for him.

anywhere.. keeper. midfield.. centre forward.
some players have a weird effect on the team.. god knows why but the fans believe that they cannot lose because this player is on the pitch.. they are talismanic..
we should move heaven and earth to get him back.

Put him upfront as a striker.

The beard itself would probably get a goal.

John who?

Move on gentlemen. I have. It was hard, i still miss him but last week I got closure when I shaved my beard off.

Be United behind our new hero.

I would think Brayford is way out of the Blades price range when you look at the other signings that the club has made.

Agree with that

Imo, it would appear the resigning of Porter and the signings of Higdon and McNulty haven't addressed our proven striker problem. Agree that Higdon may still not be fit but tbh, he doesn't look any fitter, sharper, or faster than he did his first game for us.

How I wish Clough would've lumped together a few bob and a few salaries by bringing in a few less players and gone out to get a striker who at this level had been there and worn the tee shirt, but alas no

Told you I maybe controversial!!!

I just feel we need a good old fashioned goal hanger yesterday there was 3 or 4 times when the ball was bouncing about in the box and needed someone to put it in

Put Alcock at LB with Brayford at RB. Clough said when we signed him he could play LB.

Then you'd be putting a predominantly right back (who admittedly is versatile) at left back to accommodate a right back. And we're well stocked at left back so you'd be pushing two left backs out for the sake of it. We do need another right back, but for us to spend over a million would be crazy.

I'd much rather us spend money on a central defender (or two) and a striker.

Sadly, despite my belief that money is there, I don't think we're going to spend it. I think Clough is the man to take us forward, but his stubbornness is going to make it harder for us in the short term.

Alcock is a decent player but if brayford was here, he'd be benched I'm afraid . Different class

I think he's stick him next to McGahey and drop Collins, actually.

Anyway, I haven't been following this thread so perhaps someone can enlighten me: is there actually a shred of evidence that we are going to sign Brayford or is this just wishful thinking?

Debating who we should move around the team to accodomate £1m brayford is an even more inexplicable waste of time than deciding which weapon you would choose in the zombie acopalypse

As is debating how you would move around the team for anyone, given that none of us is the manager - but still it happens. Though I realise that pointing this out doesn't allow you space to bang your favourite drum.
