Loved brayford as a player and on his day he is head and shoulders above any other right back in league one.

But if I am brutally honest he's not proved he's 10k or whatever a week better than freeman in the last year. Just hope we use these wages on someone who can actually improve the side (fat chance) or wilder will find himself unemployed by Xmas

Some good business carried out by Wilder today . Brayford has just not been at the races , goalkeeper will be a improvement .

It's nice to see we are carrying out due diligence on players . Would have thought a matter of course , but who knows .

More positive today .

Next out of the team Done , Basham .

0-0 will do nicely on Saturday .

A lot of casualties but needs must . We are established league 1 . Wilder moves the players on , or they ultimately get him the sack . Hard fact but true .

Only actually has to be one of the worst signings we've made, not in terms of ability, but £1.7 million for a RB who once bought was either injured or unimpressive and as soon as Clough departs mentally collapses.

Based on the last three performances they should all be worried for their places!

So following on this logic every one that has a dip in form will be gone.

Pity wilder wasn't our manager last year

Brayford has not been playing well so far this season, but getting shut of the family silver, and we've been doing it since 1967 with Mick Jones and Alan Birchenall, has brought nothing but abject failure, especially over the last 40 years. Until the club start punching their weight and start acting like a proper club, building a team around the better players, then we're just going to get a repeat of the last 4 or 5 decades ie under achieving losers.

Even within the Brayford deal, why haven't they got the very best for SUFC, played hard ball and made sure McFadzean was part of the deal coming into the Lane; something along the lines of you want Brayford, you can only have him if McFadzean is coming in the opposite direction or no deal.

Absolutely UnitedBlade, it almost makes me cry thinking we brought Collins and Doyle in to replace Bartley and Britton :(

As for Brayford, absolutely right he's gone absolute flop relative to what we paid. Hopefully he can succeed and we can get a fee down the line, and even if we are paying half his wages that a fair amount we can use productively elsewhere.

As is always the question, will we?

For all his faults and all the Kev knocking I firmly believe that Wilder will get every penny of the saving that is in the budget.

So after paying i would guess a fairly high div 1 wage for over a year for a player who contributed just short of fuk all to the team, we will have no doubt had to find further monies in the form of a lump sum payment to get old Woolie to piss off. Whilst it is an evil necessity and a case of Wildthing cutting the clubs losses, anyone who still thinks Adkins was anything other than a complete nightmare for this club needs their head examining. The man was a disaster plain and simple and i see hes yet to con another club into taking him on - i wonder why not?
Because we probably have the most gullible clueless board in the league. People in the game can see what a tosser he is so will not hire him. Unlike us.

I don't get why people are so annoyed that he has gone on loan. Let me ask you this, exactly how many clubs would be willing to pay anything like what we paid for him?
None, by my reckoning.
His form is gone and so has his re-sale value for now.
Let's just imagine that a fresh start with Clough, away from us gets him playing well again, as infuriating as that might be to some in would also end up benefiting us longer term. Next season we have a much better chance of actually selling him!
Or, (heaven forbid) actually playing him ;)
