Regards the sale, he “could be” selling his stake to USG or someone else but he has yet to decide.

Exactly the same for me. If it's called 'Fat Sam's Greasy Spoon Arena' it's still Bramall Lane.

When these naming rights first come around I was a bit dubious. Now I don't really give a fuck.

To me though, Bramwell road Arena will always be the name of our kick ball place

Would some of you still not care if we renamed BDTBL the Tampax Arena or the Femfresh Stadium?

Renaming BDTBL would be throwing our heritage down the toilet IMO. Everyone knows who plays at Bramall Lane, nobody would know who plays at the Generic Chinese Betting Company #512 Bowl. We're getting enough money from going up. If we were still in L1 I'd begrudgingly consider it but only begrudgingly as it's become nearly necessary to survive down there sadly.

I agree, if we don't get a sponsor for zillions the owners will be lambasted as being useless and behind the times if we do the owners aren't blades and are selling the soul of the club, won't win either way, of course I presume if we do get a sponsor for the ground it will be for a limited period anyway, I'd be quite happy spending the next ten years in the premier league with a sponsor providing huge sums to enhance our profile as the city's leading club

Like I said weeks ago why do people believe this man..he has no intention to sell the club if he wins the court case..it will be another investment option..he won’t like this club out of his icy grasp

Sell the naming rights it really makes no difference, it will still be called bramall lane to everybody that matters. You don’t sit on the kennedys stand you sit on the kop, you don’t sit on the HE Barnes Upper you sit on the BLUT. The sponsors name means nothing

Seriously, if the figures associated with naming rights contributed to our survival in the Premiership, why not? We can either hang onto an ancient belief that sport and commerce never the twain shall meet, or we can act with dignity, not sell our soul, yet manage to ensure that this club has the resources it needs to compete at the highest level. Whoever negotiates on our behalf needs to be canny, have their finger on the financial pulse, and ensure that whatever deal we strike provides the level of income that reflects our membership as a Premier division club.

In answer to your first question, No not one iota.

Because the people that matter, us the fans would still call it the Lane, the Kop, South Stand etc etc
