I agree with the loyalty system, I've always said that.
But there are lots of games when they don't matter a toss because everyone that wants to go can go.
Bolton can house up to 7,000 away fans, but because of the loyalty system we wont sell anywhere near that amount.
In the "free for all" days of old all 7,000 would have gone without upsetting our most loyal supporters. But tickets often don't reach lower point holders or general sale until a couple of days before the game, this leaves most people unable to arrange travel, days off work etc.
The pigs would just sell them, they'd sell tickets to any fucker that wanted one and they'd all cheer and get giddy about selling out in two days. Everyone that wanted to go would get a ticket regardless of how loyal a fan they were. It would appeal to their delusions.
All I'm saying is that the club should use some common sense in determining when the system is necessary and when it's irrelevant. If we played Yeovil or somebody and got a 1,000 allocation it is necessary but for this particular game I feel it's irrelevant because there's plenty of room. And with more time to prepare the "lesser fans" might have snapped up the full allocation.
To me it matters not, I'm not interested in away games and have no intention of travelling with United anymore so I'm not a disgruntled fan that cannot get a ticket.
