As i'm only 18, my ticket will either be £12 or £7 depending on whether or not they count 18 as "under 18" or not. If this was £30 for myself, then I probably wouldn't go. Would be difficult not going to the first game of the season for a positive looking season for most blades fans

That is why you buy your season tickets to lower the cost or one of the reasons at least. You have no choice at an away game it is either pay up or stay away. Robbin bastards.

Pretty sure our most expensive ticket is £23, rising to £25 if you pay on the day.

Bolton are starting off at £30, so if they bumped the prices up in the same way we did, it'd be £32 on the day.

I'm no expert, but I'm fairly sure that the previous owner Eddie Davies wrote off all his loans to the club when he sold it in March and they're starting with a clean sheet. It seemed a huge thing for him to do, because although he's not on the bread line, the debt was a huge chunk of his personal wealth.

From what I can recall from a chat I had with a Bolton supporter a while back, the debt did indeed get written off, I think it's the actual running costs that remain which is the crippler.

The football supporter has the power in their hands but can't muster up the resolve to use it so prices will be set accordingly.

This is the problem with any protest to do with football - the powers that be rely on the loyalty of fans to cough up regardless of cost or inconvenience. All people can do is one-by-one, say they've had enough.

As much as it is ridiculous, I think I will end up going as it's local 'ish' and is the 1st game.

There's usually 5 of us that go. 2 have said they're not going at £30 and the other 2 are away but said they wouldn't have paid that so add £120
