Who's going to buy him?Not good enough, thick as shit and will be injured for at least 30% of next season.
Trigger his 1 year extension and try and get whatever we can for him.
Fuck knows? Chapeltown Athletic?Who's going to buy him?
He's likely going to be here next season. Will Wilder change the formation or will he continue with his tried and tested 3-5-2?Bogle has too little positional discipline to be an effective defender.
I see him turning up attacking on the left flank and think "what on earth are you doing there mate ?"
Wilder was a RB yet he can't see this ?
By all means play him further forward (but we don't use wingers).
So he's a bad fit for us.
I doubt Wilder knows himself - some of his selections & substitutions have been quite strange imo. He's likely going to be here next season. Will Wilder change the formation or will he continue with his tried and tested 3-5-2?
For us or the opposition?Keep him. He'll get about 15 goal contributions next season. Sign a more solid player for the left side
I think Chris knows exactly what he wants to do next season, as I’m sure Hecky knew what he wanted to do last season.I doubt Wilder knows himself - some of his selections & substitutions have been quite strange imo.
I have no confidence that he has any kind of plan or the financial means to implement it.
There are players who will mess us around all summer , hanging on to see what better deals they can get elsewhere , with the result that Wilder won't even be sure of who's staying or going until it's too late for him to create a blended squad.
Take Anel , Hamer , Blaster or Souza as examples - if we don't know what £ is coming in from their possible sales , we'll be left scratching around at the end of the window.
Unfortunately the players have all the power in modern football and clubs like us , without spare £ , have great difficulty making plans.
Doesn't take a genius to see Bogle is good offensively but not defensively.Let him go.
I assume Wilder keeps using him in defence is because he's a defender and always has been.Change the system into a 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-3-2 and play Bogle as the right prong of the three and he'll thrive. Play him as a defender in a four or five and he'll be dog poo, as he always has been in defence.
Great on the ball going forward, awful in defence. Why Wilder continues to use him in defence I'll never know. Fans and local pundits keep saying he's been our most improved and consistent player since Wilder returned, but he's been awful defensively throughout.
Tired and DEtestedHe's likely going to be here next season. Will Wilder change the formation or will he continue with his tried and tested 3-5-2?
I actually asked who Lowe had come on for yesterday as i genuinely hadn't realised he was playing and it was only when he came off that i noticed! He can't defend, and its not as if he is Trent Alexander Arnold going forward. I would be interested to see his stats, as I don't feel that he contributes more than say Lowe on the opposite wing.
Bogle is ok in the Championship for defensive work, but not in the Premier League. We've also had terrible RCB's this season until Holgate came in and stedied things a little. but even he's not managed to nail down that slot, sadly.Personally don't understand the criticism Bogle gets from some.
Seems like because he's good going forward people think he must therefore be an awful defender. He's alright defensively not outstanding but nowhere near abysmal and he's very good going forward, has good feet and a knack for scoring goals.
He's pretty much the least of our worries and if anything I'd be more concerned that we don't have him tied to a longer contract than wanting to get rid. Bogle + Hamer is a really strong right side combination at championship level.
The team as a whole is dysfunctional and defensively weak. That doesn't mean we need better defenders in every position. If we can sort out the back 3, get a couple midfielders in and and a reliable wingback on the other side then Bogle will look a lot better.
The only potential concern for me is his fitness but he's a had a good record for a little while
Hes got the most goals as a defender in the PL for us ever. Can't remember a Lowe assist. He can't defend, and its not as if he is Trent Alexander Arnold going forward. I would be interested to see his stats, as I don't feel that he contributes more than say Lowe on the opposite wing.
OK, he may be more prolific than Lowe, but he has 12 goals and 4 assists in 4 seasons. For me that doesn't outweigh his lack of defensive skills.Hes got the most goals as a defender in the PL for us ever. Can't remember a Lowe assist.
Doesn't take a genius to see Bogle is good offensively but not defensively.
He's one of the few players we have who can beat a man.
I absolutely do not want to let him go.
Maybe Brewsters on his way. Think we'll easily get our outlay back. Good business. Can't post links from this PC but Brewster posted a possible cryptic message tagging Bogle in saying, "good whilst it last Brother".....
I just went to Instagram and found this. Clearly talking about a holiday endingCan't post links from this PC but Brewster posted a possible cryptic message tagging Bogle in saying, "was fun whilst it lasted".....
