I’d be shocked if Iroegbunam doesn’t come and I think he will be key for us. Hopeful on Seol and also trying for a championship attacker/striker which will be exciting if we can pull it off. Only unproven player will be Zatterstrom but it’s not the same as the AI signings hes here for the first team and will be here to back up the other new defender and Bindon somethings happened (selles comments have helped I think) and there seems to be a sense of urgency in last 24 hours thankfully.
Better news then hopefully. Heard anything about outgoings ?

Any clues on the striker mate?

I did hear that selles wanted a championship proven defender but I didn’t have it confirmed by usual source so didn’t post. Good news is he wants to come bad news Coventry are reluctant to let him go although once players head is turned then it’s usually a matter off time 🤞 price a bit steep for me though but like I said there’s money there no matter what people say. I think there team announcement will be interesting for their early kick off vs Derby.

Cheers for the info.
Are these signings assuming nobody goes out?

If we do manage to off JLT & RND, presumably we'll need another CB.

Yeah I think that's true.

The Wilder sacking also gave ammunition to those who wanted it, should we not hit the ground running this season, and the last couple of weeks in particular have portrayed the ownership as being (at best) disorganised and simply not prepared. That might still be the case a couple of weeks from now, we'll see I suppose.

But as things stand, it is still early days and ultimately just a bad start. I have seen more of these than good starts following this club, I am pretty fucking certain of that.

So whilst we might not yet be getting the oomph signings we had hoped for. A few solid Championship players through the door might at least settle some nerves, and give Selles a chance.

We still have a couple of special players at this level with Hamer and Campell, with the likes of O'Hare, Burrows, Barrie and Brooks who are capable of sprinkling a bit of magic too. Sort the foundations out, and it's still looking like a really good squad.
at last a sensible post stretch the new owners have made a mistake by letting key players leave the club before bringing cover in thats unforgiveable imo but its far too early to be panicking 45 games left yet and as you say weve still got the basis of a very good championship squad we just need 4 more good signings now and im sure things will pick up new manager new system it wont happen overnight utb fto ⚔️

Anyone assist my understanding:
WTF is a “prog” (progressive as in “Prog rock ?) pass
how does such differ from a “forward” pass (if that’s the case)

If so it’s a resounding NO from me -

Yes are absolute shite - apart from “Owner Of A Lonely Heart”

If you’re going to pay 8m Thomas, see if millwall will take said 8m for Tanganga.

BBC are reporting it's a £5m bid. It might be £8m inc. add-ons (Sky do tend to report the top end).

Feels a lot more sensible at that level, there's some upside left in the deal at that value but it still represents a downgrade on Anel.
I'd feel a lot more confident with Hughes / Doyle / Tanganga (in that order) but have to assume they're out of range.
It'll sting a bit if Coventry land one as a Thomas replacement.

What's the difference between progressive and forward passes?

I think a forward pass it's just a pass which is made to a more advanced player without necessarily causing much fuss. Whereas progressive passes are through balls or passes which put us into more attacking positions or create opportunities? Not 100% sure though.

Progressive passes lead to more opportunities. Forward passes simply go to a more advanced player.
I also thought Esteve was the best CB last season but Thomas' stats seem even more appealing to me, especially the carrying now we've lost Anel.
Impressive considering he played most of the matches last season and they were in the playoffs.

sounds about right.
I see a 'forward pass' as a Peter Kay "Ave It" effort

Whats the difference between a progressive pass and a forward on?

A progressive pass breaks the line, as in a pass between two opposition players. A forward pass is just what it says, although I think it has to cover a certain distance for it to count (maybe).
