I have never been on the Blut .
Questions 1) anywhere at 1/2 time for a smoke and can I buy a beer?

View looks good and I wouldn' mind giving it ago .Having 2 sections of the kop singing is a waste of breathe imo .

I reckon they called it off on purpose to quell this plan :)

No doubt about it. They had a big enough problem with the snow. Add in a small group trying to make a bit of noise on BLUT... utter chaos.

Others will be better placed to answer than me. I'd say you'll have a better chance of getting a drink without missing the game than you would on the Kop though, at least if it's not packed.

Know what you mean about the Kop. I think that's part of the reason loads just don't bother making any effort - it'll likely just be cancelled out by the other side. Just need to convince people how much more effective they'll be from a support point of view in BLUT. I know it's not the place for noise now but bit by bit that could change and it wouldn't take much.

As for the view, it's far better than the Kop.

Vote in this if you're interested.

I'm going on the BLUT for the first time for the Forest match in a couple of weeks!

Looks a brilliant view up there, we'll see what the atmosphere is like. Looks like plenty of seats left up there

With the postponement and the probability that the rearrangement will be needlessly delayed beyond the 13th March and beyond season tickets going on sale, I think the only way to make a case for ST availability in the BLUT target area is to do a poll (like above) and hope for a lot of positive responses. Then get those interested to email the club directly.

Either that or target the Forest game and pray for a miracle...

Not bought my ticket for Forest yet.
Is there any plan to target the same block on the BLUT for vocal supporter for the Forest game?

Nah, and I don't think there will be. Would only expect a small turnout at short notice.

wouldnt it be better concentrating on getting the whole of the Kop singing as a wall of noise rather than splitting up the ones that actually sing?

Not only that but with the BLUT over the away end sound travels up so the away fans won't hear any noise any way.

The Kop seems like a bit of a lost cause.

Regardless of who moved from Kop to BLUT, there will always be enough on the Kop to produce a reasonable atmosphere. It will always remain our focal point. And if noise came from the Bramall Lane end it would only spur the Kop on to be louder.

The away fans would hear the South Stand. That wouldn't be my concern anyway. I also think that not being able to see the away fans makes any organised support section up there less likely to be snuffed out by our terrified authorities.

2 of us should be there. Can we ban “we’re all fucking wankers at the Lane”? I hate it anyway, but I especially doubt it’ll get the BLUT bouncing.

Thanks for replying, i still think it will negatively impact the overall atmosphere In the ground and reduce how intimidating the nature of the Lane can be. Away fans will think we have no vocal support, which in turn would reduce chanting against each other which adds to the atmosphere.

Have an area of the Kop where it generates lots of noise to intimidate the opposition.

This BLUT will never work.

The Lane is intimidating once in a blue moon. What makes you think noise can't be heard from BLUT? Away fans have managed to create plenty. It certainly was loud when I had a ST up there in 1971. That said, I agree with your penultimate sentence. The Palace model [despite some misgivings based on what I've read recently] shows how it can be done.

BL is rarely intimidating. Currently, away fans will often think we have no vocal support because when we make noise it generally comes from the Kop

I don't know what you're envisaging but it wouldn't be a case of hundreds moving there and leaving the Kop bare. Anything more than 100 would be a bonus. It could only improve the atmosphere at the BL end and overall because any negative effect on the Kop would be minimal. The Kop wouldn't change.

As I've said, South Stand H block would link up with BLUT and away fans would hear them - this would actually create more chanting against each other. While away fans might not hear noise above them, it could help cancel out any noise they make. And the main priority is being heard from the pitch.

What area of the Kop would you suggest? The only realistic possibility is back left and that's miles away from the pitch with poor acoustics. It would need a huge group. Even then, it could possibly divide the Kop even more than it already is.

Tuesday's a must win now.

Could do with a good atmosphere. Midweek games can be flat. Let's try and make this one decent.

You all know where to go don't you? Not going to bother with the 'marker flag' for this one.

Thanks again Ricky for keeping this going. We'll be heading up onto BLUT to support his idea again tonight (3 of us) and probably 3 more joining us.

Having successfully weaned him on away games my lad's got to the age where he wants to be 'vocal' and finds sitting on the Family Stand just doesn't do it anymore.

As you've said this doesn't need huge numbers to make some difference and provide a focus (and more enjoyment) for those that want to get behind the team vocally but don't want to sit on the Kop.

Thanks for supporting it, much appreciated. 6 of you would be great. Just remember the area (back few rows, 115-125) because we need to be together. Hopefully there'll be enough of us to get it going a bit, especially when we're kicking towards that end.

Good effort Ricky but it ain't happening pal, did anyone actually try this tonight? Didn't seem like it from the miserable kop.
