Going to keep bumping this one...

If any of you on here know anybody who might be interested in this, let them know about it.
I was very tempted to join you up there for Burton, but as me n my mate will have the kids with us, I've opted for the Westfield corner instead. Sorry.

(Saturday 3rd March, 15:00 kick off)

The fact the club are helping us with this is promising. It helps validate the idea and shows there's good potential. It should be an extra incentive for everyone who supports it to make the effort and help get it going. It's in our hands now, we have to justify the club's backing. I want to see at least 50 of us up there for this game.
If we can get good numbers up there for this game and hopefully others it could help increase demand and strengthen the case for ST availability in that area next season.

This is the best opportunity yet. It's different to the others. We now have certainty that this area will remain available for us, right up until the day of the game. No obstacles or excuses.

All you have to do is ask to be in the "vocal section" or similar, and they'll know where to put you. Or just ask for specific seats. These are...

Rows S,T,U,V - seats 115-125 and row W seats 109-118.

Red area = target area. These seats WILL be available if you ask for them.
It's section U3 here if you want to pick your seats... https://www.sufc.talent-sport.co.uk...&type=H&productsubtype=&productIsHomeAsAway=N
Season tickets can be moved for individual games, by phone (0114 253 7200) or at the ticket office.

There'll be a small flag to mark the area. Just move into any space around here if you have tickets elsewhere on BLUT.

Please vote in the poll if you'll be there.

(+1 or more = someone else attending with you)

Any further details will be posted in bold on this thread, and on the Twitter page... https://twitter.com/BLUT_Blades
Daft question, but the block of seats you mention is already greyed-out in the online booking system.
Does this mean that the block is now sold out? Should we now start to buy tickets adjacent to this block?

They're available if you ask for them. But if you're buying online just get seats as close as possible to the area - 115 and 116 for example.

Are you in that greyed out area?

Either way, you'll be able to move there.
When I rang up, I asked for a seat in the designated block for vocal support - I can't remember the actual seat she gave me (I'll find out when I get the ticket in the post), but it should be in that block.

Good to know the staff are aware of it (not sorted mine yet). It certainly makes it easier. Just need people to take advantage of it. It would be a shame to get the club's help only for not many to turn up.

Obviously, but if that was us at the top of the league we'd get nowhere near replicating it unfortunately.

At least we don’t start singing the worst songs in football by singing at another stand to “give us a song”. Horrific and embarrassing, just being at Molineux makes me cringe as I know eventually it will happen.

Some songs are made to be sung only at away games...
Du-du-du Football In a Library ("shhhh" edition)
Is There A Fire Drill?
You're Suppose to be at Home

+numerous other timeless classics

*From the album "Now That's What I Call Away Songs 4" available at all leading retailers. :)

This is an interesting article about Man Utd's atmosphere problems and their attempts to address it. It adds weight to the concept of proper organisation being required in order to improve things. I'll watch with interest how this develops.

The point about the moving of season tickets being a nightmare is the most salient.

Our atmosphere would be most improved by moving the Kop singing areas bang next to each other so they have no choice but to cooperate, but we'd probably literally have to raze the Kop to the ground, and rebuild it with a new seat address method so the seats no longer existed.

Maybe offering discounts on season tickets if you move would be something that would move a few backsides out of the way but it's a massive task.

I’ve been thinking of moving somewhat between the 2 groups at the back of D and G to try and orchestrate getting those in between to join in, the major issues being it’ll take more than myself and a couple of friends and secondly, there’s no space.

But this is the sort of thing that can get the Kop going

I've thought of that too and it's a decent idea. If there could be a group in the middle who pick up whichever chants start it could carry them over to the other side.

Space is an issue but you can get yourselves in the aisle/gangway if you get there a bit before kick off.

I'd join you if you decide to try that.

I sit in between and do my bit, but it’s hard going. :)

let’s see how it goes in the BLUT v Burton and take it from there, if it’s got to be the Kop we’ll sort something, best time would be season ticket renewal so perhaps any interested on here could liaise and get them as close as possible together. It could be even more successful if it’s towards the back, but not all the way. Then you’ll get more “sitters” involved

Reckon you'll get any of your mates to join you up there for Burton?

At the moment I’m on my own which happens quite a lot recently for week night matches. I’ll drop you a message on here on the day and we’ll meet up if you want. Can’t sit in the wrong place then

Edit: scrap that it’s a Saturday isn’t it. I’ll have company, offer stands though

Yes they are aware of it. I got my ticket today in the post and yes I am in the designated block :).

To anyone who was there v Bolton.... Yes it was a waste of time and nobody was more disappointed than me. But please don't let that put you off moving there again. There will be no obstacles this time - nobody will be in that area who doesn't want to be part of this. Remember these things take perseverance and time. And remember that your presence makes a considerable difference when it'll only take a small number of us to have an impact.

Bump.

If you're anywhere in the Upper Tier, just move here. There'll certainly be space, it'll basically be like an unreserved section.

Watching the Man Utd game today, they still have the entire Stretford End lower standing up. So what excuse have they got?

It's good that they're looking to address the root causes behind their poor home support but it seems to me like they're over complicating things and looking for excuses.

Speaking of standing up---at away games, unless theres someone behind me who is seated and whose view I would otherwise be blocking, I stand up all game. I find it so much more conducive to creating a noisy atmosphere.

Funny isn't it, 2 of the 3 BLUT attempts this season will have been affected by snow/adverse weather! And the other was sabotaged by free ticket giveaways! Lucky guy me. It's probably a sign I should just give up....

Trying is the first step towards failure.

With a bit of luck it'll be rearranged for the Saturday of the international break weekend (24 March). Even if it's a Tuesday it might work out better because it would've undoubtedly been a low attendance on Saturday.

No change of plan for us. It'll just have to wait for the rearranged date. Might get a bigger turnout anyway.

I reckon they called it off on purpose to quell this plan :)
