Simple point. If we retain our core players and maintain our Wilderesque style of play, then Blessin is the guy.

His awareness of German football and application of Dutch 'Total Football' style within a Belgian footballing backwater just lines up perfectly and may event prevent our usual decade-long tour of the Championship and League 1 before resurfacing in the Premier League.

Remember, we have never, ever, ever in our history bounced straight back to the top flight. That's right, so staying in the Championship will be priority number one next season ;-)

I can assure you that staying in the championship next season won’t be our number one priority🤦🏻‍♂️

Honestly as pathetic as it sounds I would accept a 21st place finish in the Championship next season, as long as it was a productive year of transition.

Of course as I said elsewhere we should aspire for more, but we are in such a mess and need such an overhaul we have to be realistic.

Not sure Blessin would get a work permit as has been discussed in detail on here.

I don’t recognise the mess that you refer to.
If you refer to this season then I agree, but next season in the Championship with a squad full of good Championship players and maybe a few new ones, does not look to me like a mess.

Basically I'm looking at what happened to Sunderland. Ok we don't have the off field instability, but the squad is unbalanced and out of form/confidence with lack of leadership etc. and we'll be having to sell our better players

Blessin disaster waiting to happen, we'll be rock bottom of the championship by October, when he'll get sacked and replaced by some other unspiring choice.

Best way get shut of the clown prince and get the king of the Lane back.

Would Warnock even want to come back?

I think we may be slapped with a big reality check in August. We are most likely going to have a new manager who's unproven and never managed in England who wants to apply his own philosophy's and tactics in context to a long-term vision with F all transfer budget.

I think we are dreaming if we are looking at achieving much next season, I doubt we'll be going straight back up and most likely I think it'll be us staying put somewhere between 7th and 21st. Echoing other's sentiments, I'd be reasonably happy with that so long as there's signs of progression. If he's that good that we go up after 1 season, he probably won't be here long at all.

Who is the King ? Can't be Wilder if you consider the shit negative defensive hoofball we have suffered for the last 12 months and he then walked away with a load of money for poor performance .

Why not look at Norwich, Watford and Bournemouth ?
I don’t think the squad at full strength is unbalanced. If we choose to sell one or two players then any rebalancing can take place and we may have four or five young players to come into the squad.
We may not be a top 6 side but I don’t see a bottom half side.

Blessin is the cheap option , having a good season in a Mickey Mouse league , Jokanovic has a proven track record 2 Championship promotions.. but had money to spend , if the owner wants to put his money where his mouth is I know who’d I’d go for .
