Hi all, just published a (quick) new episode about our last couple of games, with a little look ahead to our game with Forest this weekend. It covers...
  • The draw with Ipswich (01:03)
  • The surprisingly-exciting 2-0 win over Burton (03:40)
  • Waxing lyrical about an excellent goal by Brooks (06:35)
  • Home advantage for the Blades (08:45) and how that gives us hope for the playoffs
  • The impact of Brooks (13:14)
  • A preview of Forest (15:28)
Hope you enjoy - thanks as always for listening and UTB!

Cheers Richard Haythorne - glad to hear it! Hopefully will have Jay on again after the Forest game seeing as we've then got a gap til our next match.

Another good listen and some well considered views.

Much as I rate Brooks, I thought you missed his negatives from Tuesday. Twice Duffy ran with the ball instead of passing and Brooks failed to react by moving to space. On one occassion he'd been in a good place in front of the South Stand but when Duffy ran near to him, he almost got in the way. So much of what he does is wonderful and instinctive, but yet his positional play without the ball can often seem clumsy.

Obviously more game time will help and please don't think I'm slagging the lad. This is a minor gripe and he has so much going for him. He really is a pleasure to watch.

Please keep your podcasts coming.

Genuinely don’t think these pods get the credit they deserve!

Really informative and knowledgeable. Good use of stats and adds a different perspective on the game. It’s especially appreciated when you see the ‘fans tv’ style quality of some of the other efforts at club specific output which is just uninformed shouting

I don't actually recall that, but generally I know what you mean. He is still pretty raw but as you say the talent is so clearly there. It's so unfortunate that he missed those few months - imagine what he could be playing like now if he'd spent those 8-10 weeks in the first team squad, getting more familiar with his role / our system, ironing out the few kinks in his game where he occasionally overplays / gets in the way.

That's very kind of you to say so - actually I've been amazed at how many people have been listening!
