Do you realise last night was essentially the League Cup, not the JPT?

EFL Cup = League Cup
EFL Trophy = JPT

Confusing, I know. Not a fan of either but I think the League Cup deserves a bit of respect, which I think Wilder did give it.
Shite! I thought it was the JPT last night so not been bothered, didn't even listen. What a load of EFL wank, Always enjoyed the League Cup.

I'm sure that most people on here are old enough and intelligent enough to make their own decisions on what matches to go to or not without being told what to do by others. I know I am. Whatever you want to do, it's up to you but please just let people decide for themselves.

Except that at no point has anyone told anyone else what to do on here.....

I am going. At least there won't be a queue for the toilets at halftime.

I don't want you to go

if he puts out our first team and they lose to Leicesters kids that could screw up their confidence and they have a confidence problem at the moment. If they win its still only Leciesters kids so it wont be a big deal. Fans should boycott, club should boycott its a disgrace.

Well fair enough literally and I stand corrected However, someone suggesting a boycott implies that they want others to do the same...........just like the Bolton one, and that worked a treat.

The one on here was simply a "I'm not going due to the price and principle, if you are the same, post here who we can gauge how many"... Rather than a call to boycott.

I'd like to see everyone boycott this myself, but I can't make anyone do so, nobody can.

The crowd last night was very poor considering we have 11,000-12,000 season ticket holders is it who had free entry? Seems like at least 4,000 of them did not go (some may be on hols etc) but a lot for an early season to opt out. Maybe it was the competition/opposition Seems like the apathy from last season still remains.

As for this other competition; I doubt I will bother. £10 is a lot for a trumped up reserve game. I think the crowds for these games will see this experiment (of Prem clubs) and maybe longer term then the whole competition being scrapped It really is a waste of tine.

If we got to the final would you go to Wembley?

I think United have anticipated a low turnout already. Only opening the John Street stand for this match, the one with the lowest capacity. A crowd of less than 1000 would be a good 'fuck you' to the "EFL".

And I'd like to see huge attendances at every opportunity providing the club with good revenue, but similarly I can't and nobody can.

There's bigger considerations at play. Bigger than whatever the turnout might be for a superfluous fixture in a competition designed to undermine every club in our position.

Sheffield United Football Club versus A kids outfit from Leicester...what's our proud club coming to.
Play our Under 21's and pay any fine, and hopefully get knocked out...although we could get to the final and then pull out under protest I suppose.

It was about half time last night before I realised it was the league cup, I thought it was the JPT, football league trophy, whatever..

That's similar to my opinion. I've a feeling if this experiment falls on it's arse they'll pull the JPT/EFL/WANK Trophy all together, out of spite to the smaller L1/L2 clubs who do value it and see it as a chance of silverware but won't support B teams.

Good riddance in my eyes if it does happen mind.
