Don’t think billy will go anywhere this month but I suspect his lack of game time and subsequent lack of goals will be niggling away at him a bit.

I think and i hope that in a couple of months he will announce retirement at the end of the season. Then he will get to bow out in style on his own terms at his club. And we can all thank him for being the football leagues best striker, a lane legend, a fan, a captain who helped drag us up to the prem from L1 despair, a model professional, idol to young blades and quite franky, the man should have a stand named after him or a statue. That’s assumes one of the 32 clubs left in the cup are interested. 90% of those would be in the slightest interested in Leon

I was just about to say the same, it sends mixed messages to Billy. On the one hand Wilder is saying he wants him to stay, but when the opportunity arises to give him 90 minutes, Clarke gets the start.

Billy Sharp does not want to leave, his appetite is full apart from further Blades opportunities. He's openly said if he can't play for the Blades anymore he's going Sunday league with his mates rather than drop down the leagues.

He is being groomed as Wilders successor.
