Lets hope he doesn't sell a 50% share for a quid to anyone.

Sounds like McCabe is going to do a bigger version of what he did with Staines Town FC. Built a stand with a health club built into it.

Eventually sold it on but I think they'd use it as a London training base occasionally.

But will take a while to get his 5 mill back.

Wonder how long it will be before the best Sheffield Ladies players get sold to Leeds.

Not really a good deal for Eagles. For them to stand any chance of attracting any sort of crowd they’ve got to have cross city appeal (like stealers). I like to go to the odd RL game, but if they played at a ground with a big owl over the door........I ain’t fucking going.

Eagles already play there. They won at the weekend in front of 450 fans. There's also, as has been mentioned, a small stand and a clubhouse. Rest is standing, without terracing. So as I read it, the plan is to build a new stand.

That stand is the one the Eagles had behind the sticks when they were at Bawtry Road.

As it's only at the bottom of the road I wonder if Handsworth Parramores will end up playing there, would make more sense than playing at Worksop and in theory the ground would be good enough to get in the Conference. United at home one Saturday, Handsworth the following and pigs shunted to Friday nights, perfect :)

It's a state of the art one, got a fitted kitchen, lovely curtains and a dyson. What more could they want!!!!
What, no ironing board!!??, well you can fuck right off then!!!

That looks a good development. Hopefully the Women's team will continue to develop. Should be good for the Eagles as well. I can see this stadium being well used for different clubs as I think Rotherham Titans are still looking for a base. Are Sheffield FC as well? Capacity of around 4,000 would be ideal for all of them and split the running costs.

Hmm...if only they could have moved to a fully fit for purpose stadium, is a good size and is in a good location...like Don Valley Stadium for instance?

Oh wait, Sheffield Cuntcil knocked it down. That was a great idea.

I would have preferred McCabe to buy Don Valley Bowl. To bring proper cricket back to Sheffield. It is a well under used venue and to be fair we did kick Yorkshire out of BDTBL in 74.
With the advent of 20/20 inter city cricket, it would be a travesty if Sheffield got left behind........again.
