As a Northern Ireland based fan it not unrealistic to suggest that blades are few and far between over here. With the club languishing in League 1 and rarely on the tv it's profile is nearly non-existent. However, myself and my 2 small boys regularly wear our blades shirts with pride. The problem is that the longer we loiter in this poor league the harder it will be to keep the boys interested. I am bringing the 5 yr old to the final home game of the season and if things take their usual course it will turn out to be the usual anti-climax. A lack of goals at home and a general feeling of underachievement is hardly the atmosphere I need to introduce my son too. This game might well be make or break for him. If things go well he will be hooked but if not he may well be lost to one of the big premiership clubs who dominate the media ( and shirt sales) over here. Come on blades, just this time, make it happen. Lets get out of this League and help me make sure that my lads are blades for the future.
