Blades Fans

I have just had the pleasure of being on the train from Donny to London. A nice mix of Brighton, Leeds and Boro fans. ! Brighton fans to be fair were pretty generous in their praise. My new Leeds friends however did not find anything funny at all! Yorkshire’s only premiership side seemed to really press a few buttons plus a quick Bashambaur reference and they were getting rather tricky. ! No need to moan blades we have plenty of jealous neighbours and a few others having to give a bit of credit. The Boro fans were just so drunk I don’t think they know where they are ! UTB

Some of you need to take a fucking good look at yourselves. Tonight we sit 6th in the Premier League but with some of the comments on here that we had dropped into the relegation places. Today is the magic 40 point day but you lot don’t seem to realise what an achievement that is. We are still in the F A Cup, have a chance of qualifying for Europe and all I hear is moaning. What happened to in Wilder we trust ?, you can moan all you want but until further notice he will continue to pick the team and along with Knill work a football miracle.WE ARE SHEFFIELD UNITED ⚔

I've just taken your advice sir. I took a long hard look at myself.

Damn I look good today.

Thanks :)

Haven’t read or heard anyone legitimately moaning or whinging about today. Regardless of how well we’re doing there’s always room for criticisms. Great knocking it about in possession but a bit toothless up top.

And yeah in a perfect world every fan stays to clap the players and I agree that the players deserved more of a showing from fans today. But over the season I think our fans have been pretty good all in all. Might go against the grain but don’t think it really needed to be said by the gaffer.

Fans were no better or worse than usual. Team was good and unlucky not to win. Brighton had a great turnout, especially with a 500 mile round trip. Only complaint was our poor defending for their goal, which was taken 15 yards nearer our goal from where the foul was committed.

I thought 1-1 was about right we weren't good enough to break them down and when we did we surrendered the lead within minutes, I don't hear or see many fans moaning about it though. The only disappointment for me was Wilder having a pop at the fans fuck knows what upset Chris in the 10mins after the game but to me having a pop at the fans is poor form and can easily lead to the slippery slope of becoming disengaged from the fan base. There is an old saying don't bite the hand that feeds you.
I don't know if CW is playing mind games with the players and trying to instil a siege mentality of prove the doubters wrong lads but to say we were outstanding today is way over the top even if we did dominate the game and I will very rarely agree with a manager turning on the fans who pay their hard earned money come rain or shine.
Just stay to the end and clap them off. We played really well today. If you have seen some of the games in our six years in league 1 you would be amazed at the transformation. 40 points in the Premier league don't come easily. Celebrate.

I know what's pissed Tufty off, according to football rules we should have 3 points for the result, the PL phoned tufty up after the game had finished and it went like this.
"Hi Chris, PL chief exec here, normally you get 3 points for a 1-1. You are only getting 1 though, reasons below.
A: You are not massive
B: You don't take 3000 to every away game
C: You don't like bouncing
".
Chris
"***#@&!....twat"

There's always the moaning contingent who seem to forget where we were 4 seasons ago. A top half finish for me at the start of the season would have been more than I would have dared to ask for, but now suddenly thats not good enough for some.
I think the people who moan are just people who moan about everything in life. How anyone can say this isn't the best time to be watching United wants their head examined...
Onwards and upwards!

I thought Brighton got what they wanted today. They packed their box with six footers and seemed to win nearly every ball when it came into the box, scored a goal from a set piece and wasted time. Some of our passing was superb but as others have said, we struggled to penetrate their packed defence. It just needed one of the balls into the box to drop our way or have a refereeing decision go our way. Unfortunately, McBurnie had a swing and a miss when it finally did and the ref seemed to let Brighton get away with a lot of wrestling and time wasting. Can't really complain with a point but would be delighted to see us play like that every week
It's a good point you make about Brighton's "grappling" in the box. Three blatant ones spring to mind - Berge first half, and two second half (Billy and McBurnie). They got away with those big time.

Completely over the top post. Not seen or heard much moaning myself. Agree with Wilder that fans should stay until the end but fans leaving early happens all over the country unfortunately.

Thought we played ok today, deserved to win but we do need to create more and be more clinical when chances do come along. Nothing wrong with fans wanting the season to be even better than it has been already.
I’m glad he called fans out about leaving early. It’s pathetic, and we are worse than many clubs for this.

There’s nothing more cringeworthy, in terms of supporting you team.

Loadda bollox. it is no worse than 90% of other teams. I normally stay while the end to clap them off but yesterday after freezing my cojones off went a few minutes early for the 20 minute walk to get my bus. Good support from Albion, sold more tickets than the pigs last season and made much more noise.

How many away games have you been to this season? We’re noticeably worse for it than many other premier teams.

Wind, rain or shine - we’re terrible for it.

Every game, home and away, that's why you're talking bollox.

My main complaint today ( and for a lot of home games) is the bloke behind , with an exceedingly loud voice, who spent most of the game moaning about McBurnie not closing players down, not going for headers, not working hard enough etc etc. In the second half he started having a go at Henderson - who is nervous because he keeps having a drink apparently. It sounds trivial when you write it down, but he's relentless and just whines on and on endlessly. If he must comment continuously, can't he just say it to the people next to him, and not to the two or three rows in front!

He was an ex professional (in the 60s) and claims to know what he's talking about, which makes it worse. I suppose he should be looking for a job as a pundit.

I think we have a right to be a little disappointed, but if we'd drawn away and won at home, generally most would have been quite happy.
With all due respect, rather than moaning about it on here why don't you just turn around and tell him to shut the fuck up.

Have you ever been to a game and not heard someone moan or say something ridiculous? From the early 90s I’ve been listening to people say ridiculous things at the Lane. Same old, just ignore and get behind the team.

Okay, my precious keyboard warrior.
Not a keyboard warrior but a REAL WARRIOR. Would've taken Furey and Wilder on at the same time with a pint in my right hand. Still I don't think I would take on the Pitsmoor Pillcok in the Big Gun. That would be a step too far.

40 points is marvellous, and bodes well.

Didnt know it had become a “thing” to celebrate.

Cheers for that !

I stopped at the end last night and I’m not sure what more as fans we need to do, 31:800 wasn’t it? And every one of us has travelled through floods and storms for the last two home games.

Maybe a few people wanted to get a start of home because of the flooding? I know it took my missus nearly two hours the other week to get back home - 40 points was significant but by wilders own words it’s on to the next target, we’re not jaded with success but I think our focus (the fans) was on something other than just stopping up Weeks ago.. seems odd that he’s set such a high bar, then shows some frustration when the fans don’t clap them off for getting 40 points..

Anyway I’m off to look in the mirror, hopefully some gorgeous bustard will be looking straight back at me...

When you look at how daft VAR was being at the Burnley v Bournemouth match then you would have expected a penalty for us.

You might want to take a look at that avatar.😆He looks a reight Knobhead to me.

Ya pays ya money ... who gives a **** what anybody else thinks!!

Exactly, I heard some silly remarks after the game, don`t let us get Billy Big Bollox, expecting us to beat "teams like". Brighton are an established PL team and well organised with some decent players (although they were shithousing today) We were the better team but couldn`t break them down but we dont have the right to beat them. Also fair play to their fans turnout, a very long trip with a shitty weather forecast, a decent turn out.
Don’t think we’re Billy big bollocks(not yet). But the collective disappointment was probably due to our total domination of an opposition who didn’t really deserve a share of the spoils.
