Blades and Yeovil six years on

One of our low points during the 'wilderness years' was our awful play off defeat 2-0 at Yeovil Town in 2013. A truly gutless performance and they ended up promoted to the Championship. Today we have (well 99%) been promoted to the Premier League and Yeovil have lost their football league status after being relegated from League Two. How quick the football pendulum can swing.

Wow! I was just reviewing our past failures this morning and read the match reports of our play off games vs Yeovil, whilst remembering being gutted at the time. Also reviewed our penalty shoot out vs Huddersfield and I believe that this will be the first time since that fateful Steve Simonsen spot kick (NASA are still trying to find the ball, using the Huddle telescope) that we will be above them. Seemingly the football pendulum can swing quickly and slowly but with devastating results for those who don't get things right. So glad we have Chris Wilder!

Just like Bury and Gillingham, which spring to mind. Low ebbs for sure.
