Interesting to speculate just how many they might bring on Saturday, what with their ongoing Oyston-induced civil war?

See that their crowd last Saturday, home v Rochdale, was down to just 7,000 or so (still, let it be said, not too much below the what the Mighty Wigan got for their first home game of the season v Donny!). But they've always been good travellers, I seem to remember. Recall in particular a Championship game on Boxing Day when they were very well-supported, well-oiled & raucous. They were on the up at that time though - it might indeed have been the season they got promoted to the prem.

Just hope that the club is making (& going to publicise) provision for pay-on-the-day. Could be missing out on some serious income (& atmosphere) if not. I gather there's loads of their lot who don't want to pay a penny into the Oystons' coffers but are willing to do Awaydays if the money goes direct to the host club.

You have to feel for them don't you? Awful situation which from the outside seems as though the owners deliberately add fuel to the fire at times.

Can anyone specify the moment it went wrong for Blackpool?

I'd hazard a guess it was when they got promoted to the Prem and greed took over their owners.

But yeah I do feel for the fans massively

After the club called them "asshole wankers" I would imagine the fans would be feeling a bit pissed off at the moment.

I should imagine the phone call that resulted in Bobby Harris coming this way and Tony McMahon going the other would be a conversation they wouldn't want repeating.

That day they sold us Colin Morris is another I'd like to thank them for as well.

They got promoted to the PL earning 30 million and made no realistic attempt to stay up.

They wisely decided to use their windfall to fund the club for the next few years.

They hardly spent anything so the fans assumed they had millions in the bank.

Then they discovered that their Chairman had spent most of the money including paying himself a 10 million quid bonus for being such a good Chairman.

Since then it's been like a civil war with the Chairman slagging off their fans Dave Allen (ex SWFC chairman) style.

Most Blackpool fans i have chatted to no longer see it as their club and don't feel the passion to support them anymore hence why some groups are trying to do a FC United of Manchester type reformation.

Terrible situation. Moan at ours (board) if you like, but better the devil you know sometimes.

Welcome, Chali, by the way. We don't get many Chicago based rap artistes on here, must feel like a fish outta water ;)

Well thanks S.E.B.

Let's hope I'm not swimming against the current with my future posts.:tumbleweed:

Pleased that 2 people know who Chali 2na though.

i can't understand why the FA dont' declare them as unfit to run a football club as it is quite clear it is true

Lost again this evening. Home to Burton. Crowd down to just over 6,000.

They're in a terrible state.

My guess is what they are doing is legal and hence cannot be challenged. You can argue about how they are running the club but they are in fact the owners and can pretty much doas they want. Shows you how money has utterly fucked our game.

Hi and welcome.
I don't really feel for them. Fans do not do enough for eachother from other clubs. They want to go to games and that is about it. Maybe a bit of tele football as well. It would be nice if there was some big fans union but there is not enough input ffom you or me for that to ever happen, just ask admin about that.
So many times on here fans from other clubs have come on pleading for support for their cause (Coventry and Blackpool last season) but soon as they are alright they probably will not support anyone else.
Perhaps they should point out the letters they wrote to the FA in May 07 or the letters they wrote in support of other clubs prior to that incident?

Its called the FSF http://www.fsf.org.uk/

I am a memeber, others on here not only are members, but do actually get involved

Why not join, there are some, what I would describe as clever and devoted guy and gals in that Organisation
I know that exists but it does not have the influence that those fans at troubled clubs want simply because it is not 'big' enough.
Thanks for the invite bu as stated before me and most cannot be bothered. That will not change tiĺl more get involved. Perhaps a big push and campaign would help. Canversing fans at games may help your cause?

We are all on a high after Saturday and last night. Lay-down-and-die Blackpool in town on Saturday. Things couldn't be better. But let's all take a dose of realism here. Blackpool's losing streak has to come to an end. They always do and we've been at the end of them before today.

The most important signing Nige can make using the whole of Murph's money if necessary is a player called Consistency.

The only two names I recognise on the committee list are Monica Hartland (President) and Malcolm Clarke (Chair), both of whom are Stokies, so the clayheads are well represented. Does SUFC have any representation on the committee? Just interested to know.

Malcolm Clarke (or rather an actor, playing him), appeared in last year's Marvellous, as a young student who befriended Nello at Keele University.

No one that I know is SUFC, Alan Bloore is a Barnsley fan, Martin O'Hara is a Donny Fan (i fink)

Kevin Miles is the one I know most about, actually employed by the FSF full time, I would buy him a beer

Join, get involved, you can go Jihad or sit on the touchline and observe (like wot i do)

The FSF has been going over 15 years that I know of, and what they have won has been a battle every inch

Which you can understand dealing with Government, the FA, PL, Football League, and not least Football Clubs, and the Meglamanics within

Its a bit suprising how much in agreement fans of different clubs can be, until the Match kicks off :)

I am led to believe there were around 4,000 there last Saturday and less last night, the official figures include ST holders. If they hadn't done the '2 year deal' prior to last season they'd be back to their pre-Holloway crowds.

The away following is still pretty good, the angst is generally saved for home games and not renewing STs so I suspect they'll bring a few on Saturday.

It's a terrible situation for the Blackpool fans to be in and I feel for them. We obviously had our own board problems in the 80's and 90's prior to McCabe taking over. I always think that, whatever your opinion of McCabe and the current regime, it could be a helluva lot worse.

We very nearly let Sam(antha) Hashimi take over and then there was a period when nobody really knew who the chairman was or at times, where he was.

Still, I hope we absolutely muller them on Saturday :)

Whilst I have every sympathy for Blackpool fans, I was always annoyed about their 3 division rise because they didn't win automatic promotion at any point - they won 3 straight playoff tournaments. What's more, they were the 7th team when they came up from league 2 and 6th in the Championship. And they had no other near misses - in every other season during their rise they finished in the bottom half of the table.

They are therefore the opposite of us and a bunch of jammy bastards.
