Sky were reporting £10m initial plus £3m add-ons. Obviously Southampton believe he’s good enough for the PL. The gamble for us would be whether or not Blackman improves enough to attract the attention of PL clubs.

As it seems Chelsea are offering him to clubs, I’d guess no PL club thinks he’s good enough yet. I’m not sure why Leeds haven’t done a deal yet. If it’s true Chelsea only want £2.5m then it seems a decent price. Maybe he wants £30k a week.

Goes without saying that if Gunn was, say a Brighton Keeper and had just had his 1 season at Norwich, there's no way they'd be getting close to this figure for him.

Check out Zinchenko, bought from the Russian backwaters for 2m, a few decent Champs league and Prem League games (where he was actually 2nd choice behind FABIAN DELPH) and they've received a 17m bid for him.

There's a clear difference between speaking your mind and offering clearly coded digs towards the Blades.

Out of the blue you appear and not a single post had anything other than a negative thrown at United. So, by all means speak your mind, but even with a current ownership taking place, is it any worse than the concerns that surround wendy with their confused business strategy and one season attempt at buying 'big'. If the money isn't spent on players, or goes on something else connected with a club's infrastructure, the taxman takes a dollop at the end of the year, so clubs splurge their TV/sponsorship riches on a new reserve goalie instead.
