I'd be inclined to agree there, Good quality signings on the most part so far, but like everyone else I'm concerned at the lack of cover (especially at the back). But there's still time, it's not like we're kicking off this weekend is it?

Totally agree Mickle-blade.
There is a pattern emerging in that we are signing, imo solid proven players who should gell together as a team with the Morgans etc.I think the signing of Simmo is a great signing and yes Kenny has chosen to go, saved us on many occassions but did not again imo ever command his box effectively
Comments made bearing in mind the current financial restictions.
Still need more quality defenders though.

A bit leftfield I know, but perhaps its Blackwell thats kick started all this. Perhaps Blackwell put his plan together at the end of the season and identified what he needed to do in the summer and told Birch to get it sorted.

I'm bringing Blackwell into this so that if it goes wrong this season it gives a familiar scapegoat.

Also, does anyone know if Birch has done anything to reduce the debt yet? Does anyone know if he's identied any potential investors to take over from McCabe yet?

My understanding is that McCabe won't reduce the price he wants......... who can blame him ?
