Godfrey looked very comfortable at RB though.

I'd have to agree. Godfrey is a make shift right back, we're seriously lacking in wide areas and have far too many options in central defence and central midfield.

We have no strikers worth the name.
We can't hold the ball up in attack.
How do you think we score any more than 1 goal in 4 games by adding defenders & wingers ?
And , btw , this manager is the LAST personality I'd choose to weld together 13 new players who don't know each other.
Ironically , that sort of thing was Wilders best attribute.

Can anyone tell me who they think identified the significant number of players that have been brought in this summer? Normally you would say it’s the DOF or the manager. We don’t have a DOF and it’s difficult to believe it’s Selles who I expect would have a list of positions he wanted to fill/replace. Doesn’t seem likely to be Bettis who would do this so who did?

I think it's a mix of Selles and our existing recruitment team (left over from CW's time).

Selles:
Barry, Bindon, Matos, maybe Soumare as well = 4

Recruitment team (Mike Allen and Jamie Hoyland):
Godfrey, Mee, Ings, Tanganga, Ogbene = 5

Development signings (A.I aided):
Polendakov, Ukaki, Zatterstrom = 3

Unknown who pushed for these:
Chong, McGuinness = 2

That’s the spirit….sums up the Sheffield mentality

and why this region always struggles to attract the most ambitious big thinking investors. It’s such a pessimistic area that hates ambition when it’s linked to change and new/ big ideas.

Do agree that it wouldn’t surprise me if they keep changing strategy but that’s because our owners are a consortium and are keen to try anything to succeed. Could end in tears but it won’t be for the lack of trying with investment.

He's had his chance, he's had the tools for the last 4 games to make this team look more than L2 rubbish and failed in a manner that shows he just isn't good enough.
Get someone in who can manage and this squad makes the playoffs .

Rubbish comment, how has he had the tools, what he has had is Wilders last squad minus 11 players who were all 1st team or thereabouts, 7 loan players went back and we lost Anel, Souza, Brewster, and Moore. Most of the lost players were defensive players.
So saying he had the tools is bordering on ridiculous.

Very presumptuous of you. One comment from me seemingly sums up my mentality, and the mentality of Sheffield as a city it seems. Do you know if I’m from Sheffield? Do you know if I live there now?

If the new owners were organised and competent, they wouldn’t have to keep changing strategy until they get lucky.

I think regardless of the players in/out, he's on a tightrope if the decision hasn't been made already.

Those players that have just arrived have come for "possibly" better money than they could have got elsewhere and a chance to play regular football or start every week...

The manager thing is separate, players see managers come and go throughout thier careers, they'll just turn up and its a new manager stood there.. means nothing to them..

I think Selles' has until the final whistle at home to Charlton, and he's got to win that game.... just my opinion.
