Totally agree.
Billy had a spell where he looked lethargic and was gradually getting worse each match and contributing nothing. He deserved dropping. He must have recharged his batteries because he looked really up for it today, brilliant performance.
I’m a big fan of Sharp and Leon’s but I’ve noticed Leon is slowly dropping his performances/ energy levels.
Many players have increases/ decreases in form and/ or energy levels.
A good manager knows when to play and drop them.
It was good to hear Wilder talk post match about Sharp attitude to being dropped.
Sharp is a senior pro and would have been desperate to play in our recent big matches
But according to Wilder, Sharp has been 1st class in the changing room, no complaining and still supporting his team mates.
Really really pleased that Billy has come through this little test, he’s not past it yet.
