Not that it makes a different but that was a "Leeds 11" the main team played York tonight I think.
So he might be with their squad still but it's fair to say he's on the fringes

One thing I will say about all this Billy stuff is, I'll be happy of we sign him, but by Christ, I hope he hasn't had a signing on fee every time he's "definitely signed a contract" this closed season. It'd bankrupt us.

I'm sorry but it would be highly unusual for players that are on the verge of moves to play a (full) game, nomatter what the level of the opposition is, to mitigate the risk of them picking up an injury that could potentially jeopardise the deal.

Whilst I still think Sharp will join us prior to the start fo the season, I don't think the deal is done or as close as some IKNers/wannabes/aspiring sports journalists are making out.

One of the worst players I have seen wearing the Blades Shirt. There has got to be better out there than Sharp for the same cash surely. I suppose it was inevitable with Adkins in charge..............

Billy Sharp is one of a long list of players who have performed well elsewhere but not done the business for us, due to their style not fitting in with the managers' tactics or whatever. I for one have high hopes that Sharp will flourish under Adkins, who knows his strengths and weaknesses better than anyone.

Waste of time worrying about it until it happens. If and when it does happen then any player would expect to be judged on his current form and we will all see what we see.

Sharp is one of my favourite Blades and I will be so tense until he wins over all the doubters.

If he signs, give him a chance that's all he'll hope for. If the manager does sign him I guess it will be his talisman signing and he'll already have an inkling that it will split the fans. What confidence in the player that will show.
