Not really Helios to be honest. Thought he'd be shit, he was and an often injured shit at that,

I'll split them into categories.

1. Wow, he's a bloody good player, this is it!
As you rightly deduced, Mr Hendrie is the one for me.
2. He's been a good player, if he's still got it . . . .
Jimmy Johnstone (by a mile the most disappointed I've ever been in a player). Rush, Thompson and Withe all in there.
3. What a loan spell, wait till we get him permanently.
Mark Dempsey, Tom Heffernan.

Fordy II. What a fucking disgrace he turned into.

I thought Billy would do better first time round because I'd seen a lot of him as a kid, couldn't believe we let him go. On his return I wasn't so sure.

I remember him getting stripped for pace by a 36 yr old fitz hall making up a 6 yard gap to walk away with the ball from a clean through billy with thirty yards of space to run into and thinking "why dont we just play to his strengths?" Top striker like that shouldnt be expected to be able to run

Watched the game on Sky today. A fews obs :-

1. 1 chance : 1 goal : 3 points. Nuff said.
2. That said not sure Leeds direct style will suite Sharp over a season. We will see.
3. IF there was any realistic chance of the Blades getting him, to which I am unsure due to being in Div 3, then we have dropped a monumental bollock.
4. To all the know it alls that said signing him would be a mistake, stick to cricket punditry as its clear you know fuck all about football.

If this is a reference to my lack of enthusiasm regarding the Blades new main strikers performance last week than the only similarity that I can see is that both notched on respective debuts. Higs was not good last week. Sharp got MOM.

I was a tad harsh on Higs, and I will give him benefit until fit, which as NC says, will take a good few weeks.

Want him to do well, thats a given.

Just not that sure atm....

As I have said, not sure this Leeds side is anything other than relegation fodder tbh and that Sharp might struggle to get past 10 for the season based on this 1 game. Which is of course not much to go on.

Irony is, based on the STYLE of play that I have watched today, reckon Higs might do better for this Leeds team and that Sharp would do better at BDTBL !

No it wasn't a personal dig, just a general observation.

I thought the one game decision on a player was just a Blades player thing...McNulty shit and a wastes of money.

Thought Sharp had an OK game but nothing more. As you said he might struggle in the Leeds set-up, but time will tell. He was never coming to us anyway.
