Yeah but where's our ambition![]()
Bet the fee is well out of our price range
As long as we can rent it back at a decent rate.Been moved to the PLC with the freehold..... Yep, he owns the ambition too.

Eny fule know ambition doesn't come in days, it comes in pints.Of course not, we will be charged 5 bajillion gazillion pounds for every day of ambition we want to use.
Good. Glad we've not wasted any money on him. In Ched we trust.![]()
Your talking too much common sense there Matt ,Billy Sharp was in Sheffield to sign for Wednesday last season until Southampton told him to turn around and drive Reading instead.
He wanted to play for Wednesday but Reading offered to pay his whole wage so Southampton forced him to join Reading over Sheff Wed who wouldn't/couldn't pay his full wage.
We can't afford his premiership (or at best - Championship) wages. Move on.
This doesn't mean we have no money. All it means is that if we had signed Sharp then we probably wouldn't have been able to sign the other 7 or so players we have.
Your talking too much common sense there Matt ,
We just didnt offer enough , nothing to do with us being in 3rd Division , and players not wanting to play in this league.

This ^^^^^^^He's a footballer - he has to work for who pays him - don't see the problem
Blades are his team - it will never be otherwise - but that boat has sailed long ago.
We are shit and he plays at a higher standard, for now - he has to make it pay while he can - third division clubs cannot afford £9k per week for a striker that might perform - then again might fail a third time.

No idea what the Leeds manager has in store for him but, played to his SPECIFIC strengths, suspect he will be a big hit up there. Shame.
UTB
Just checked. His birthday isn't on the 17th either so green light all the wayThe L**ds chairman must like the name Billy.
Thank fuck for that, no need to give him to opportunity to fail here for a third time.
But for me, his United career has been the most disappointing of my lifetime, in terms of what I thought and hoped he'd achieve and what he did achieve.
You know I've got a couple of names that spring to mind Rev that blow Billy out of the water on that score.
