Five changes including Billy on the bench. Wilder got one eye on the Scunny game?

He has a plan this Mr Wilder.....be reyt :)

Get ready CW, if this goes tits up the shit will hit the fan big time tomorrow. Hanson injured groin but why no Duffy ?

Could be a masterstroke.... It's the last thing we were expecting and hopefully the Bristol Rovers manager too.....

I think listening to Wilder and Knill's interviews a few changes were on the cards probably with an eye on Scunny. I think losing Hanson to injury is real the blow, hopefully he was borderline fit and will be ok for the weekend.

COME OM BLADES!

Slightly concerned about our ability to put the ball in the net. Lavery & Done up top doesn't fill me with a massive amount of confidence. Interested to see how O'Shea can do with Coutts & Fleck behind him & of course young Riley getting a start.

Bit of a risk IMO, but Mr Wilder & Knill know a hell of a lot more about football than I do.

Riley and Jayo both have real pace - so we can get round the back - but the crosses will have to be low!

Tight defence, midfield control and hope for a tap in after a rebound from a low cross is the order of the day.

Well firstly Coutts in for Carruthers is just going back to the first choice line up.

Riley coming in for Freeman could well be a positive thing. That'll be interesting.

O'Shea did well on Saturday and if there's any time to rest Duffy it's now. Maybe this is also O'Shea's type of game.

Perhaps most of all though this will have caught Bristol Rovers completely by surprise. With these changes we're a different proposition.

The one I'm not keen on is Done up front. If Hanson's injured I would've rather seen Sharp start, to give us a focal point. Maybe Wilder's got one eye on bringing him on in the second half to try and win a tight game.

I did want us to start rotating and maximising the squad so overall I have no complaints. Especially with two massive home games coming up.

CW knows what he is doing, we will win tonight no danger, if he thought we wouldn't win he wouldn't have tinkered as much

Rested, not dropped.

Indeed, that's quite the provocative word used by the OP.

As mentioned in the shoutbox, I don't mind it. Defence/midfield is mostly unchanged, think Carruthers still needs to build up a bit of fitness. Done/Lavery I think has a lot of things about it that can work and we have options off the bench if it doesn't. Freeman certainly could do with a break as all wing backs that cover a lot of ground do, Riley'll certainly be up for it.

I reckon Duffy needs a rest hasn't been on lately.
By the way he's been sensational this season I ain't slagging him off
