Does Wilder Relish Throwing Games.

McLean first half and Mattsson second half ran the game. But for a good, low down save from Cooper and a headed clearance off the line we could have conceded 2 first half. Or don't they count. Do opponents goals only stand if they're worldies then? Srappy OGs don't stand then? Thanks for your input.

Nobody ran the game, it was pretty dour to be honest and definitely not one for the purist. We put the reserves out, they didn't trouble us, their goal was an error from our player and the chance at the end was another gift from one of our players. They're next to the bottom, they aren't very good, the table doesn't lie.

UTBFTP 👊👊👊

we are all disappointed not to win. but as i saying earlier if the flu bug that i escaped is as bad at training ground as as some at my work. i cant understate how rough some of colleagues looked. death warmed up wouldve probably been a improvement

Yes I know, you could have recycled my reply as well,it did refer to having plenty of knobheads,as we have.

It was a slightly disappointing result but with the injuries and illnesses, we at least managed to get something out of it and keep the ledger moving.

Could also have been a pragmatic approach (Wilder, never!) where we're better off giving a point away to Norwich if it means getting a full side out against West Brom to have a better chance of getting all three against a team we're in amongst.
Or, spank a team we should beat easily = 3 points and park the bus against WB and hope for a draw= 4 points.
We are now facing a tough away fixture that could leave us 1 from 6.
Not saying I’m right and you’re wrong - just that I find the received wisdom a bit baffling. Rather like not starting with the strongest possible team and subbing off the players who need a rest at half time.
I’d love to have a top coach explain it as I’m sure there’s logic there somewhere

Great post. Three days on from a 4-0 drubbing of a decent Stoke side with some of the best football seen at the Lane for years and this is your take? You do realise we had eight changes in personell? Im optimistic for this season when everyone's fit and available. Stop with the needless negativity.
It’s fair to say that Ings will be disappointed not to have scored a hat trick. Had he done so, all would still be cooing about how the squad is rotating without missing a beat but that’s life..

Did you really just use 1 from 6? Like it's unheard of to go 2 games without losing and drawing? We best write off Coventry for the same offence in their last 2 games then, they're only 10 points clear of 3rd place!

We lost 7 games in a row, we're near the bottom for a reason. Just because we've had 4 good results, doesnt suddenly make us championship winners and definitely be beating anyone below us, especially with the reserves out.

I swear some of you just live to moan.

Not sure he likes throwing relishes, but I reckon he could chuck one quite far if he did.

9 changes made due to illness and injuries, Flu being the main culprit.
A & E in Hospitals now overwhelmed by the new flu variant.
So not disappointed, better a point than fuck all.
We could have won, but nay mind, onwards and hopefully still upwards.

Changes were a bit crazy it did seem like we thought after winning the last 4 we would walk this one. Didn't need so many. Not everyone had Flu I know that for a fact. I can imagine the normal line-up will be back on Friday all miraculously recovered, bar McGuiness

In our situation, are we in a position to be able to treat league games against bottom 2 teams like an unimportant league cup game…..

Obviously Wilder thinks so, why oh why so many changes,

Even with sickness there was enough on that bench to win that game, diabolical from Wilder.

Go to win the next game, not with half a the one after, especially, when the next game is the easier of the 2….

Ridiculous.
time to delete this surely.

My four year old was relaxed about the result this morning when I explained a lot of players were poorly.

This is really the only response that’s needed to the OP.

If the thread descends further into abuse (it’s already started), the mods could delete everything between post #1 and this one ^^^^, and future readers would have access to everything that they need in order to understand last night’s game and the mentality of some of our ‘supporters’.

In defence of those who played last night our XG was higher than against Stoke - so there was nothing wrong with our general play.

We made one mistake at the back - which happens - and an experienced striker, who could well have started if everybody was fit, had a bit of an off day.

Are you:

a) the club doctor
b) a STH right behind the dugout who didn't hear a lot of coughing
c) talking bollocks?

Jeez, read my post mate. I wasn’t being judgmental or complaining, just asking a question that I hoped folks on this forum might have some views/insights on - that’s the whole point of it. Your aggressive, non-contextual response is typical of so much that is wrong with social media. Suggest you bugger off to X or FB where you can rant and try and shut down debate in the company of likeminded sorts.

Imagine the shock of someone disagreeing to your overly negative POV.

I'll stay where I am thanks.

Still four first team players who played the last game dropped to the bench that

It’s called a forum, not sure if you’re aware but forums are used for discussions and opinions, it be pretty boring if everyone thought the same,
You are right it is, but you have started a thread suggesting our manager who has completely turned around our form relishes not winning matches. Did you not expect some opposition to this opinion? 😂.
