O.K. guys, today is my birthday, ahhhhhh and the best pressie would be three points for the lads.
When if ever did the Blades win on your birthday?
I think 3-1 to the Blades today.

Good post.
I got looking through the results and found that The Blades have only played 7 games during my lifetime since 1964 on my birthday,8th December !

1973 QPR (A) D 0-0 Div 1
1979 Wimbledon (A) D 1-1 Div 3
1984 Blackburn (A) L 1-3 Div 2
2001 WBA (A) W 1-0 Div 1
2007 Norwich (A) L 0-1 Championship
2009 Nottm Forest (H) D 0-0 Championship
2012 Carlisle (A) W 3-1 League 1
So i haven't had much to celebrate Blades wise on my birthdays really looking at that!:)
Only 7 games in 48 years....can anyone beat that??

Only 7 in 48 years? My birthday is 6th July 83 - no games in 30 years!!

Of course, my birthday also saw Sheffield United 7 Sheffield Wednesday 3, but I was very, very young then.

We won the FA cup final on my birthday, but can't claim to have been there :)

This year, still to come against Gillingham. My brother has arranged a free corporate day with free booze. So I won't care too much.

My birthdays in June so my best result was on holiday in Cuba with a gorgeous tour guide.

My birthday is a certain number in January which has only seen 1 game and that was a few years ago... Lost 3-0 at Watford :(

There was a very important Blade born on my birthday. Me! What are the chances of that happening?;)

My 20th birthday - Sheffield United 6 Tottenham 0. That was a good night.

I was born at Nether Edge Hospital on Saturday March 31st 1962

1962 Man City (A) 1-1 Simpson
1964 Wolves (h) 4-3 Pace 2, Allchurch, Thompson (og)
1970 Millwall (h) 3-1 Tudor, Currie, Woodward. Possee for Millwall. First match I attended on my birthday
1973 Wolves (a) 1-1 Bone. In the morning John Hope came to my house to present me his keeper jersey.
1975 Arsenal (a) 0-1. The ref was definitely a homer as Arsenal were kicking our players especially TC black and blue
1979 Bristol Rovers (h) 1-0. Anderson in the last minute
1981 Barnsley (a) 1-1 Matthews
1984 Walsall (h) 2-0 Arnott, Edwards
1986 Sunderland (h) 1-0 Foley
1989 Southend (a) 1-2 Booker. After the match I stayed at my friend's house in Tottenham and was the victim of an April Fools joke. My friend said in the early hours when I woke up (the doorbell flashing lights woke me up) everyone in the building had to evacuate cos of a fire alarm so I got out and was stood there for about 10 minutes before realising the date!
1990 Stoke (a) 1-0 Deane

cant be bothered to do the rest!

My tenth birthday. Sheff Utd vs Man City

Citeh had Bell, Summerbee, Davies, Connaughton and the rest of Allison's men. We had our 1970s superstars.

Citeh played in that white with red/blue diagonal strip and it was one of those cold, damp, December Saturdays at BDTBL under the old floodlights, with the kop opposite all dark and forboding, the odd flare of the match or lighter going off and real noise coming down the pitch at us. I stood in my usual place in my parka, at the front of the Bramall Lane end by the white railings, to the left of the goal whilst my dad stood with my Uncle Fred (Haddington) further back.

Silent would help me with who scored for them, but Woody scored ours (thereby cementing his name in my No1 Blades legend) and about two thirds of the way through the second half Francis Lee got in a tangle with Ted Hemsley and as he'd already been booked, a lengthy talk with the ref saw him dismissed. I remember, clear as day, the whole (three sides of the) stadium booing him off as he trudged toward the John Street tunnel in his muddy white shirt and head down, whilst photographers sprinted up the touchline to capture his departure for the Sunday rags.

Shame we did not beat Citeh. That would have bee a real birthday treat. I remember catching the 43 back to Hemsworth, stopping at the John O'Gaunt and my dad buying me fish and chips from the shops there and me and him discussing the game as we walked up the black path back up to Constable.

What blissfully happy times to be a Unitedite.

On my 18th spent it watching united beat forest in the play-off semi final, 4-3 des walker giving me the best birthday present I got

Apart from Stevenage the season before last (lost 1-2 away, I was stood behind that nob eard Ollessendro) I'm not sure we've played on November 5th in my life time. I remember playing at home to Gillingham the day before my 18th (think we lost 2-1).

Easy, the win at Anfield when Flo got both goals..We lost 6.0 at Middlesborough too though on my birthday..Happy Birthday Sirius and I hope you had a little bet on that ..UTB

It was Corrigan, not Connaughton (who played for Man U at the time before coming to us in 1973 and then to Port Vale)

See link below for Man City's line up. I do not remember Bell's goal but they did score first before Woody equalised as he reacted quickly to tap in Corrigan's block from a low shot. i remember Lee's sending off. His tussle with Ted Hemsley was on the John Street side near the halfway line
