As a rule of thumb, the Lancashire clubs deliver the goods when it comes to pies. Think a lot use Hollands as a supplier.

Used to live in Lancs once. Holland’s pies were legendary. Their delivery vans had a sign on the back saying “Warning - no pies left in this van overnight”

I've suspected for a while now that you are prone to gross exaggeration.

The pies at Millmoor were excellent too, and very cheap.

In winter I often buy 2 pies at the match and I wrap a napkin around them and put one in each pocket of my coat. (I'm serious!). They are so bloody hot that you can't possibly eat them straightaway anyhow, so they act as nice little hand warmers/body warmers in fact, for most of the game. I normally take the first one out at half-time and eat that, then, if I'm still hungry mid-way through the second half, I'll pull that one out and eat it as well. I do get a few surprised looks from folks around me. It's like I'm magicking up pies out of nowhere! It's not quite as shocking as the time I bought a roll-over hot dog though and saved that in my tracksuit bottoms, pulling it out half way through the second half. That made one lady faint!

Pies are by far the best thing about Scottish football. Pretty much every team sources them from a local bakery. Dundee United's steak pies are pretty awesome. Made by Clark's bakery, which is open 24/7; a 24 hr bakery might be the best thing ever. Arbroath is probably the best pies I've had though, also the closest ground to the sea.

These were, to my knowledge, Pukka Pies. We now have these as well, but they somehow don't seem the same. Perhaps the quality has been lost as the brand has expanded.
