Berge is a great player but miles behind Rodri, who is probably the best in the world at what he does. Very disappointed when he left though and still completely perplexed why anyone thought that selling him to Burnley was a good idea.
He would have been out of contract now if he'd stopped with us and would now be moving on a free with zero financial gain. Good move by the club in hindsight and only time will tell if it's the same with Ndaiye.... if he fails with Everton.

Im not saying he is as good as Rodri

But if you look at the two-players they are very similar in the way they play both big strong ball carriers who can control midfield

It wouldn't surprise me if Berge goes to a spurs/man and becomes a top prem Centre Mid

Interesting thought. My hindsight is selling our two best players and starting a Premier League season with a weaker squad than we got promoted with worked out really badly.

Wish I'd slept through last season as well.
Selling our best two players wasn't a good idea at the time or with hindsight.

I don't see the Rodri comparisons at all, tbh. If we're using Spanish midfielders as comparable then he's more like Fabian Ruiz or Merino. He's an 8. I don't think he has it in him to play as a single pivot like Rodri.

Don't think those 2 would have given us enough points to stop up though mate.

Looking like Burnley are after £30m for Berge

If Hal has it right that anything above £12.5m we get an add on then good

Thing is Man U probs won’t pay that sort of figure?

Didn't particularly rate him personally but hope this comes off for both his and our benefit. GLTTL.
This is just some weird narrative that started in the stands then became law. He is a quality footballer, he absolutely took the piss out of us last season seemingly without even trying!
I hope he goes to Man U cos that will be a blow to Burnley’s chances ⚔️

Well it can’t be right cos ol Girona ex said we didn’t 🤔

You would have thought Sander's agent would have demanded a release clause from Burnley considering how many nights he spent with his suitcases packed sleeping in the hotel!

Would love to see him get a big move and see how he performs with quality players around him. Lovely lad, who stayed longer than he should have and didn't want to leave when he did by all accounts.
